ROLE PROFILE To ensure warehousing, shipping and receiving targets are met or exceeded by training and developing workers, managing employee scheduling, managing inventories and inbound and outbound trucks.
Ensure product quality is preserved through proactive involvement in process improvement.
Supervise, manage and develop warehousing personnel.
Conduct plant audits and reviews of warehouse assuring company standards are maintained and work with other departments to resolve quality, production, and efficiency problems.
Identify and help to implement improvements.
Function as an information source to various departments to continuously improve operations.
Support customer service during customer visits and audits.
Ensure workers are following safety and GMP guidelines.
RESPONSIBILITIES Safety Management Ensure all personnel work safely Ensure workplace is clean, organized, and safe Conduct safety discussions with all personnel Overall shift management Coordination of all warehouse functions on shift Work collaboratively with all departments to ensure smooth operations Employee scheduling Ensure effective equipment operation and warehouse efficiencies are met Manage material receiving / finished goods shipping, documentation and execution so that product quality is maintained Work with customers to ensure their goals for shipping and receiving are met Manage organization of the warehouse Drive food safety and quality of materials through worker training, development and ensure warehouse equipment is properly functioning and operated Generate work orders for equipment issues and improvements Responsible for Inventory Management Work with operations to ensure proper inventory levels are maintained per production schedule Ensure inventory systems Bill of Materials are setup for proper relief of inventories during production Effectively manage finished goods levels Work with external warehouses to effectively manage inventory levels Manage the scheduling of deliveries with suppliers and manage exceptions Manage and perform inventory cycle counts Continuous Improvement of Operations Understand Warehouse processes, including shipping and receiving Review warehouse efficiencies and work with all departments to improve throughput Work with management to improve efficiencies and reduce cost Track improvement ideas to understand effectiveness of changes Support personnel training and development Ensure warehouse personnel (forklift operators, shipping and receiving) are trained on following SOPs, performing the tasks on the equipment checklists, performing quality inspections, and monitoring and documenting materials entering and leaving the facility Ensure warehouse personnel are trained on warehousing, general operations, food safety and quality SOPs Assess employee performance (both MSI and Staffing), develop improvement plans, and implement training to increase employee skills and performance Provide regular, documented feedback to employees to improve performance SOP implementation and review in areas of responsibility Understand SOPs and provide improvement ideas and upgrades Ensure employees are properly trained on SOPs Ensure SOP training is properly documented Other duties as assigned

Position Summary
This position will manage all aspects of the Warehouse Operation, including staffing, managing, planning, scheduling, training, customer walkthroughs and other duties necessary to the business.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage all Warehouse personnel
- Attend Department Meetings to remain aware of business plans and their effect on warehouse operations
- Hold weekly chalk talks
- Responsible for following and ensuring local security practices are enforced in order to deter theft
- Review scheduling needs and ensure that proper staffing levels are maintained
- Keep track of daily inbounds.
- Research and classify product once received into warehouse.
- Report any damaged appliances or overages / shortages to appliance manufacturer.
- Check-in drivers’ previous day’s routes.
- Complete Damage and Defective Tool daily, including taking pictures of all damaged product.
- Label all products with MS#.
- Ensure daily routes are ready for driver pickup.
- Print out Ins Receipts daily.
- Fill out Ins Adjustment Forms as needed.
- Perform condition change on Ins Receipts as needed.
- Update local stock information in CICS daily via LCLI screen.
- Build / stage AS-IS Loads.
- Create weekly backhauls for appliance manufacturers.
- Perform monthly cycle counts.
- Perform annual physical inventories.
- Manage inventory appropriately.
- Ensure proper trash / waste / scrap disposal.
- Scan in returns, will call and cancelled tickets at the end of each day.
- Other duties and tasks as assigned.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required. Minimum of three (3) years’ experience working in a warehouse environment in the transportation, logistics, or related industry required.
Must have previous experience managing employees. Experience controlling equipment inventory preferred but not required.
Valid state driver’s license required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word. Operates with a customer service mentality. Ability to manage time effectively and consistently meet deadlines.
Ability to work in a team environment and demonstrate flexibility and patience. Excellent organization, communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under minimal supervision and with a strong sense of self-motivation. Ability to lead and manage a team.
