The Warehouse Manager will maintain high levels of accuracy in day-to-day operations, lead and develop the warehouse team, and provide impeccable customer service to our clients.

Effectively react to business conditions by prioritizing the work performed by warehouse associates. Oversee all training on equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, void fill machine, etc.
and assure appropriate associates are trained and training is documented. Maintain open communications within department and utilize, recommend, and / or approve constructive / progressive discipline as appropriate.
Hold weekly meeting with employees to provide feedback and share company information. Develop new techniques and procedures to enable warehouse to operate more efficiently.
Keeps job descriptions up to date. Work closely with purchasing to acquire packing materials and assure merchandise is stored and shipped under the proper conditions and routed correctly Negotiate with vendors to insure "best price" on products utilized in operations and seek new, improved materials to maximize efficiency.
Manages an area Quality program to assure continuous reductions in errors which can result in unhappy customers. Interact with carriers (RPS, UPS, Comet, etc.
to reconcile bills, assist in negotiating contracts, settle disputes and assure proper delivery, etc. Ensure that orders are shipped out in a timely manner.
- Oversees all hazardous materials training and insures appropriate associates are properly trained and training is documented.
- Assures all OSHA regulations are met or exceeded along with CFR and VAWD regulations. Ensure all OSHA and safety policies are enforced;
monitor of temperature and humidity and functioning as intended. Assure all HAZMAT shipments are properly classified and packed according to IATA and CFR guidelines.
Effectively promote growth of supervisor's management ability and overall knowledge through mentoring and continuing professional training.
Do YOU Meet These Requirements? Bachelors degree in Business Management or Logistics or equivalent education / experience Five plus years prior management experience in managing a warehouse / distribution facility Proven track record of successfully managing people to work as a team with a focus on Quality, productivity and attaining optimal levels of customer satisfaction Prior experience managing by objectives, goals and building in accountability to assure tasks are completed as required Prior pick / pack experience in a fast-paced environment with inventory control knowledge with good communication skills Prior experience with budget development HAZMAT training;
in-depth knowledge of MS Office software and WMS operation. Job Summary :
The Warehouse Associate will assist in all daily warehousing activities. This position will be focused in the Pick Up Express area by exceeding customer expectations and upholding the highest levels of customer service and safety.
Job Responsibilities :
- Provide daily hands-on support for the PUX department including assisting customers, other associates.
- Drive compliance with safety, quality and productivity goals in support of warehouse leadership team objectives.
- Provide recommendations on process improvement and assists in implementation.
Requirements
- Forklift certification required and clamp truck certification preferred.
- Shipping / Receiving system experience is a must.
- Be proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
- Must have excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of HVAC a plus, but not required.
- Extensive Customer Service Experience
- At least 2-3 years of management experience with the understanding of basic warehouse functions
