Responsibilities

Receiving and inspecting goods :

  • Responsible for receiving and shipping incoming and outgoing shipments, verifying their contents, and inspecting them for any damage or discrepancies.
  • Ensure that the goods are properly labeled and recorded in the SOS inventory system and counts / quantities (check delivery against order advise supervisor of any discrepancy)
  • Keep track of various merchandise entering and exiting the warehouse
  • Unload products from freight trucks. Verify and organize them in the warehouse

Inventory management :

  • Maintain accurate inventory records by tracking incoming and outgoing goods.
  • Update inventory databases, monitor stock levels, and perform regular stock counts or audits to identify discrepancies or shortages.
  • Organize and arrange products within the warehouse for efficient storage and easy retrieval.
  • Check inventory regularly and perform weekly and monthly cycle counts
  • Accurately report and regularly update information in SOS

Shipping and logistics coordination :

  • Assist in coordinating the shipment of goods to customers or other destinations.
  • Work with shipping carriers or freight forwarders to schedule pickups, prepare shipping documents, and track shipments to ensure timely delivery.
  • Ensure that all merchandise is safely and securely packaged and labeled for shipping
  • Handle customs documentation and international shipping requirements if applicable.

Quality control and inspections :

  • Conduct quality control checks on incoming or outgoing goods to ensure they meet the required standards. This may involve inspecting products for defects, damage, or compliance with specific criteria.
  • Handle returns or exchanges and manage the associated paperwork.

Equipment and facility maintenance :

  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.
  • Perform regular inspections of equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks, report any maintenance issues, and ensure the warehouse complies with safety regulations.
  • Collaboration and communication :

Summary

The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for assisting the Warehouse Manager with day-to-day functions of the warehouse. Responsibilities include working with the location warehouse stock and resolving issues using the stock management system;
