JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Summary :
Carboline is seeking a Warehouse Associate at our Houston, TX location. This person will be responsible for supporting production efforts through a variety of tasks to maintain production levels and minimize turn around time, while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Requirements :
Ability to perform simple math and mathematical conversions. Ability to operate digital and balance beam scales. Must pass forklift certification and comply with all company safety policies.
Steel-toed foot ware and safety glasses are required at all times in productions areas. Other personal protective and safety related equipment as outlined in Carbolines
Physical Requirements :
Must be able to lift 100 pounds. Must be physically and medically capable of wearing ½ face respirator and dust mask.
Standing / kneeling / walking / sitting on concrete for approximately. Operating fork-lift approximately
Essential Functions :
- Fills cans / containers / totes / drums with product to certain weights.
- Labels all cans / containers.
- Box all products in accurate containers with accurate labels to be shipped to customers / warehouse.
- Complete First Piece Inspection Forms.
- Clean vessels / tanks using appropriate PPE.
- Store waste drums on 48-inch pallets and keeps pallets free of spills.

Warehouse Manager

Overview
CORT Furniture Rental is hiring a full-time Warehouse Manager in Houston, TX. The Warehouse Manager coordinates and directs warehouse / distribution operations, contributing to the day-to-day functions and to the overall success of the District and CORT.
These activities will be performed personally or through direct reports.
This is an onsite position performed from the CORT distribution center.
Salary starting at $55000 / year, depending on experience.
Work schedule : Monday-Friday, 10 : 00AM-6 : 30PM.

Responsibilities
- Supervise all warehouse employees.
- Manage and control the security and condition of inventory including its proper storage, handling, disposal, transfer, cleaning, and repair.
- Responsible for proper staging, loading, and unloading of furniture.
- Assure proper preparation of furniture for shipment through assembly, substitution, loading, unloading, checking and placement back into inventory.
- Supervise "staging" of furniture for next day delivery.
- Manage the scheduling, routing and control of all trucking activity to ensure efficient delivery and pickup of furniture.
- Responsible for the cleaning, maintenance, and security of the warehouse.
- Ensure that safety standards are adhered to in all areas of the warehouse.
- Help in preparing monthly safety reports.
- Orders merchandise or prepare requisitions to replenish merchandise.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
- 3-5 years related warehouse experience
- Prior management experience
- Physically able and willing to move furniture; ability to lift 100+ pounds with a partner
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must have valid state driver’s license
- Must pass background checks and drug screening (does not include THC) as a condition of employment. CORT also participates in the E-Verify program.

Job Responsibilities :
- Place orders for supplies from vendors via computer and telephone
- Load and unload supplies from trucks and verify packing slips
- Receive and process stock into inventory management system
- Process orders from client offices and patient service centers via phone, fax and email
- Print requisition forms and barcode labels for internal and external clients
- Pack orders for shipment via various shipping methods such as Fed Ex & UPS
- Resolve all customer concerns efficiently and timely

Job Requirements :
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- 1-3 years of experience in a warehouse and / or picking and packing orders is preferred
- Experience with warehouse equipment such as a forklift, cherry picker, and pallet jack a plus
- Knowledge of inventory control and cycle counts
- Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

- Verify part mark stamp and quantity of parts is correct with receipt / shipping paperwork
- Electronically process transaction WMS and stage on designated cart / rack
