As a Truck Driver in the Army National Guard, you are the backbone of military support. By transporting cargo and supplies, you’ll play an integral role in keeping the Guard moving forward.
In this role, you will operate all wheeled vehicles and equipment over various terrain and roadways; manage load, unload, and safety of personnel being transported;
employ defense techniques; identify, correct, or report vehicle deficiencies; and prepare vehicles for movement / shipment by air, rail, or vessel.
Job Duties
- Oversee and check proper loading and unloading of cargo on vehicles and trailers
- Employ convoy defense techniques

Overview :
The motor transportation operators are primarily responsible for supervising or operating wheel vehicles to transport personnel and cargo.
They are the backbone of the Army's support and sustainment structure, providing advanced mobility.
Job Duties :

Minimum Qualifications
Age 22 with 18 or more months of verifiable over the road (OTR) truck driving experience occurring within the past 36 months; OR
9 months OTR driving and truck driving school (documentation required)
For either above, a minimum of 6 months OTR driving must have occurred within past 12 months
No more than 3 jobs in the prior 12 months, and no more than 7 jobs in the previous 36 months.
Other driving experience and employment history considered upon review
Any Candidate who has been discharged from a driving job in previous 12 months is subject to review / approval by Director of Risk Management.
