Summary :

The Social Media Manager plays a major role in making our Parks and Resorts a leader in the use of social media. Responsible for managing the strategy and creation of content that builds our social media communities as well as builds brand affinity.

The Manager must demonstrate a deep understanding of content strategy and social media management. Responsible for applying content

marketing strategy to develop and distribute content through social channels including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube, and Pinterest.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES :

Creates new and creative ways to use social platforms and digital content to tell stories and

build our audience.

Creates on brand-disruptive social content across social networks such as Facebook, Twitter,

YouTube, Instagram, and more.

Responsible for all social content planning, programming, publishing, tagging, and editorial

calendar management in collaboration with the IMCD team and overall marketing messaging.

Responsible for creating and implementing industry-leading social publishing best practices

with engagement benchmarks for all social channels.

Devote time for the ongoing education of the Universal Orlando Team regarding social

media capabilities.

Social Media Strategy Development

Working with the Head of Social Media, develop the content strategy for our social channels

that drives ticket sales.

Operates as a social media lead strategist leading all integrated social media planning for

campaigns and segment initiatives.

Manage social media content team, including contractors and agencies, to ensure content

engages audiences in new and unique ways.

Work to operationalize and implement enterprise-wide social media capabilities and

collaborations.

Collaborate with key stakeholders and influence the integration of social executions with online

and offline programs from planning to execution.

Responsible for translation of existing social media workflows into actionable processes

Analyze and track campaign performance, making real-time recommendations and helping

solidify and operationalize global KPIs and dashboards.

Support training and enablement of social media engagement best practices and devote

time to the ongoing education of social media capabilities

Identify and create opportunities for social activations, develop strategic plans, and manage

executions and optimization of social media campaigns for the company

Assist in managing an external agency on social plans and developing creative assets

Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by

following established UO policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement

activities.

Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION :

Bachelor’s degree is preferred in Journalism, English, or Communication Master’s degree.

EXPERIENCE :

5+ years’ experience working in social media, digital media, or digital communications

experience in an agency or corporate setting, including at least one two years of

immersive social media experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION :

Proven experience managing successful high-profile projects that involve multiple businesses

functions, milestone tracking, and collaborations.

Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

BASE SALARY RANGES

  • California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento) : $78,500 - $119,650
  • New York (depending on location e.g. Manhattan vs. Buffalo) : $73,150 - $119,650
  • Jersey City, NJ : $84,750 - $119,650
  • Colorado (depending on location e.g. Denver vs. Colorado Springs) : $73,150 - $97,500
  • Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane) : $73,150 - $105,250

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby (following 1 year of service), medical / dental / vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees.

Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.

PARENTAL LEAVE POLICY :

Shalom Orlando provides leaves of absence without pay to eligible employees for any of the following reasons :

The birth of a child and to care for such child.
