The Opportunity
Servers are an important part of our community providing service, meals, engagement, and comfort to our residents. In addition to delivering food and meals prepared by the kitchen staff, servers will be a go-to member of the team to build rapport with residents who they will see and visit with each day on the job.

What You'll Do
Customer Service

- Maintain a working knowledge of all menu items, preparation, time, ingredients and method of presentation.
- Relay messaging from residents to the kitchen about dining needs, food preferences and orders, and special requests.
- Use technology, such as a Point of Sale, to provide clear communication between residents and the kitchen.

Frontier Management is seeking an outstanding Server to join Heartis San Antonio community located in San Antonio, Texas.

Servers provide the highest quality and consistency of service to all residents in all dining rooms and resident apartments in accordance with company standards.
Delivery of food services to each resident should be performed in a continuous, predictable, and efficient manner. Coordinates and communicates with all food services and other team members in maintaining a holistic perspective of care and services for each resident.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities :
Provides prompt, polite and professional service to residents
Sets up dining room tables with all utensils, chinaware, eating silverware and glassware. Refills sugars, salt, pepper, creamers and butter dishes after each meal
Sets up delivery and pick-up daily room trays for room service orders
Sets up and replenishes salad bar and all other beverage and service stations
Assists cook with minor preparation, portioning and plate set-up of menu items including garnish
Assists residents and other team members with beverages, salads soup, dessert and all other service needs
Participates in all required training, orientation, meetings and programs offered by employer
Promptly discusses and resolves any potential care coordination problems with all involved team members and team leaders
Clears tables within assigned work section. Cleans and wipes down tables and chairs after residents leave dining room
Performs daily side cleaning duties as scheduled and requested. Spot sweep floor in dining room after each meal.
Presents a professional demeanor that communicates to current and prospective residents the corporate philosophy of service, goodwill, and genuine interest in the resident’s unique needs.

Push, pull, or lift at least 30 pounds. Frequent transporting of residents in wheelchair
Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, bend for periods of up to eight hours with breaks as provided for in the employee handbook

Summary
- The Server is responsible for taking food and beverage orders; entering orders quickly and in proper sequence; serving food and beverages for guests in their section as well as other sections;

Essential Functions
- Takes food and beverage orders, places orders, delivers orders, checks back after delivery of food to ensure guest satisfaction, observes guests to respond to any additional needs
- Maintains table appearance by pre-bussing, checks drink levels, removes clutter and provides adequate napkins, etc
- Presents check for payment and provides change as needed
- Follows HMSHost customer service, adult beverage and cash handling policies and procedures
- Keeps station clean, sets up and takes down station tables appropriately
Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Work Environment
- Must meet state minimum age for serving alcoholic beverages
- Requires at least 6 months of closely related serving experience, work experience in high volume or fast casual dining restaurant environment preferred
- Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing manner
