WHAT IS THE JOB?

We are looking for a dedicated team of Servers to join us on our mission to turn the ordinary into extraordinary down on Rainey Street.

To be successful in this role, you will be responsible for the following on a daily basis :

Providing an amazing experience to our guests from introduction to departure.

Guiding guests through menu selections while demonstrating thorough knowledge of the food, beverages and ingredients.

Taking accurate orders and partnering with runners to serve food and beverages that exceed guests' expectations.

Providing energetic and attentive service that makes guests feel well taken care of, guaranteeing future visits.

Anticipating guests' needs by refilling waters and pre-bussing tables throughout the venue.

Assisting in tasks to ensure a clean and safe atmosphere.

Ensuring compliance with all Company policies and laws, including health and safety standards.

Having excellent organizational skills.

Having great communication skills with a positive attitude.

Bringing new and creative ideas to how we do things.

Being fun, enthusiastic and having lots of energy.

Sell and serve food and drinks while providing guests with excellent and welcoming service according to the Kerbey Lane Steps of Service.

Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following :

• Able to promote a welcoming environment for guests and fellow team members. Interact with guests in a friendly and efficient manner.
• All guests must be treated in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction. Always strive to exceed our guest’s expectations.
• Complete and pass Kerbey Lane training program, the TABC Seller Server Training
• Check identification of guests to ensure they are of legal age to consume alcoholic beverages.
• Serve 4-5 tables, or more as determined by Store Leader.
• Ability to suggestively sell, including but not limited to beverages, appetizers, entrees, specials and desserts.
• Take food and drink orders while using a point-of-sale system.
• Answers phone calls and answers questions concerning the menu and restaurant.
• Maintain specific side work and ensure total cleanliness and smooth operation of the restaurant.
• Follow Store Leader’s instructions and suggestions regarding their tasks.
• Communicates with expediters, hosts, bussers, and Store Leaders and assists in an entire team effort.
• All other duties as directed, including having fun with our guests and your co-workers.

Essential Physical Requirements :

• Walks and stands during entire shift
• Reaches, bends, lifts, shakes, stirs, carries, and wipes.
• Must have the ability to frequently lift and carry bus tubs, trays, and other objects weighing 25 pounds or more.
• Must be age 18 or over to serve / sell alcohol according to State regulations.

Food Handler Certified by State of Texas and city which location is in and TABC Certification.

Tiki Tatsu-ya is an immersive experience, a place to escape the modern world and to an island paradise. At the entrance, located at the back of the building on Lamar Square Dr.

guests will find themselves embarking on an adventure into two separate yet connected spaces. Through wooden porthole doors, they venture into the cave, peering up at a giant, two-story Shisa Dragon rock fountain, and exploring deeper to find rock walls flanked with skulls, a shield wall, and nautical accents like fishing nets and floats.

A cozy booth across the fountain puts guests in the belly of an ancient trade ship, with portholes depicting scenes from the island’s discovery.

At the end of the cave sits the main bar, adorned with layers of eye-catching woodwork and boasting a collection of custom mugs, glasses and a world-class selection of rum.

Our restaurant is looking for a server with remarkable multitasking skills and engaging people skills.

The right person for this job should be able to multitask food and beverage orders, but not only that. Our restaurant prides itself in providing excellent service, which is why we are looking for a server who will treat our guests with attentiveness, patience, and a positive attitude.

The responsibilities of a server in our restaurant are to greet guests, seat them down, help them with menu recommendations, take and deliver orders (carry trays), and clear tables.

All our servers are also responsible for handling cash and credit card transactions.
