Job Skills / Requirements
The purpose of this position is to install, service, and test electronic security systems including burglar and fire alarms, CCTV, Access Control systems and all related electronic security equipment in residential, commercial, and industrial environments.
Starting pay ranges from $20-$35 based on experience- also there is a monthly Incentive program of up to 8% of your annual pay!

Here’s what you’ll need :
- Valid license / good driving record
- Pass background checks and drug tests.
- Must be able to obtain specified licenses / certifications to perform work in the security
industry according to the rules and regulations prescribed by the State in which the branch operates.
- High School Graduate or GED is required for all Per Mar Security Services positions.
- Must be able to travel, as needed.
- Must have mathematical skills including ability to calculate figures and amounts such as interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume along with ability to
apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Must have knowledge of fire and electrical codes to ensure safe and proper installation of alarm systems and devices.
- Must possess the values important to Per Mar Security Integrity, Communication, Excellent Service and Accountability.
Here’s what you’ll be doing :
- Install and wire specified alarm system devices.
- Test and verify that all systems and devices installed (alarm panels, sirens, horns, strobes, etc.) function properly and in accordance to manufacturer's specifications.
- Use multimeters for particular volts and OHM readings and circuit analysis.
- Hook up RJ31X to specified panel mountings of particular devices such as motion detectors, keypads, and controls.
- Program alarm systems via programmer or keypad.
- Explain and demonstrate to the customer how the specific alarm system installed works.
- Complete proper paperwork and submit to the appropriate department on a daily basis.
- Communicate with clients, co-workers and Per Mar's Central Monitoring Station.
- All other reasonable duties as assigned by the Installation Supervisor specific to the operation of daily business functions.

Security Engineer
Overview
Foley & Lardner LLP is currently seeking a Security Engineer I to join our Information Security team. The right candidate will be responsible for the advanced development, monitoring, implementation, maintenance, and support of the firm’s information technology security infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Manages distributed network of firewalls and their configurations according to vendor and industry best practice.
- Proactively monitors network security systems and services; actively pursues prompt resolution to system alerts and incidents.
- Provides troubleshooting for network security systems and services issues as needed or directed. Escalates issues for further analysis as needed.
Makes recommendations to prevent future occurrences.
- Works with DUO Multi Factor Authentication platform to ensure system is operating as intended.
- Familiarity with managing anti-phishing technologies and the basic principles of email security.
- Proactively monitors and manages Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solution and responds to relevant alerts.
- Perform forensic capture and preserve chain of custody during events and incidents using various tools and technologies.
- Work within SOAR platform to ensure the ingestion / population of OSINT feeds are occurring properly and develop playbooks to increase automation in response activity.
- Drives identification and remediation of vulnerabilities across a diverse array of systems and applications.
- Works to identify and escalate Data Loss Prevention incidents and tune DLP rule set for greater fidelity.
- Assists and supports the Technology Assistance Center in resolving advanced level customer support issues.
- Participates in on-call rotations and provides after-hours support when needed.
- Works in concert with management to recommend, evaluate and implement new technology solutions as warranted.
- Acts as the Information Security representative on various projects and research tasks.
- Manages multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or Information Security desired
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the Information Technology field in a network security support role required
- Security Industry certification(s) (e.g., CISSP, Security+, OSCP, CEH, AZ-500, AZ-900) desired
- Experience or familiarity with four or more of the following technologies : Palo Alto Firewalls, network security principles / VPN connectivity, vulnerability management, DUO multi-factor authentication, Next-Gen Antivirus / EDR / XDR, email security, DLP, SOAR, NAC, SIEM, CASB, public cloud Security, Active Directory security principles, configuration hardening.
- Experience with firewall functionality, best practice configurations, and maintenance (e.g., policy management, URL filtering, threat management, external dynamic lists EDL , decryption, etc.)
- Experience in basic scripting (e.g., Python, Powershell)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with a customer focus
Lead Security Officer
The Lead Security Officer implements organization’s goals, may provide input into strategic goals for the Security Department.
RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL :
Implements organization’s goals, may provide input into strategic goals for the Security Department. Conducts research, evaluates data, and reports on findings, supporting the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and programs.
Has familiarity with the Security Department budget, may provide input into spending decisions, particularly as pertains to vendors, systems, and projects.
Typically works on projects and initiatives that span 12 months 2 years.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES :
1. Ensure compliance to security and safety standard operating procedures at Goodwill corporate locations.
2. Conduct or assist with investigations of accidents, thefts, and discovered and / or reported incidents; prepare detailed, accurate and legible written reports;
review all incident reports completed by Security Officers.
3. Prepare and conduct new officer training, including onboarding, facilities tours, vehicle training, radio etiquette, proper uniform, and reporting incidents.
4. Assist with the creation and implementation of security staff schedules and rotations.
5. Provide guests, employees and vendors, professional and courteous assistance in the conduct of their business at the agency in person and by phone.
6. Respond quickly to emergency and non-emergency situations including alarms at Goodwill corporate locations in accordance with Goodwill policies and procedures.
7. Respond to, evaluate and / or treat medical emergencies within the facility within the guidelines of Goodwill Industries policies and procedures.
8. Respond to and actively intervene in situations involving agitated, aggressive or disruptive, including but are not limited to all levels of the confrontational continuum up to and including physical restraint.
9. Provide visible deterrence to crime and prohibited activities by patrolling the facility and adjacent grounds, and be alert and watchful for any activities which could result in the injury of a person or the damage or loss of property.
10. Become skilled in MEDIC First Aid, CPR and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Skills within 180 days of employment.
11. Maintain a thorough knowledge of the facility, the guidelines of Goodwill Industries policies and procedures and any problems or situations unique to the facility.
12. Assist with creation and conducting of security audits.
