What You Will Do
- Performs officer duties to include, but not limited to :
- Patrols buildings and ground for unlocked secured areas for after hour entry.
- Locks and opens doors according to schedules.
- Provides individual and group escorts to and from parking areas.
- Identifies and removes unauthorized individuals from property.
- Enforces campus parking policies / cite violations.
- Maintains compliance with Security policies.
- Pursues and detains persons involved in criminal activity.
- Fills out incident / offense report forms and composes narratives.
- Gives directions to areas of facility.
- Interacts with police, fire personnel, patients, visitors and staff.
- Provides vehicle assistance.
- Patrols interior / perimeter of campus and parking.
- Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences and surveillance activities. Reports and escalates situations to the Threat Management team as appropriate.
- Provides quality customer service to Texas Health employees, visitors, and guest.
- Greets people with courtesy and respect using the 10 / 5 rule.
- Provides directions and assistance employees, visitors and guests.
- Provide general information regarding Texas Health campuses.
- Provides transport / and escorts to and from campus parking lots.
- Responds timely to calls for service and emergency situations.
- Assesses the situation and utilizes appropriate de-escalation measures.
- Utilizes critical thinking skills and provides the appropriate level of force for the situation.
- Responds to and activates the appropriate emergency response code.
- Interacts with and provides assistance to Police, Fire, EMS and other emergency staff as required.

Design, architect, and help implement Cloud Security Architecture to modernize our cloud.

Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, and self-organization to find efficiencies in our cloud security assessment process.
Assess the overall Cloud Platform Security (CPS) Programs, identify gaps in the process and recommend areas of improvement.
Participate in management of the overall Cloud Control Inventory, Procedure documents, Cloud Service Catalog and Service Adoption Framework (SAF) Reports.
As the CPS first line of defense, perform content and quality assurance reviews of Cloud Controls Exceptions and SAF assessments to provide risk-based recommendations.
Stay current on emerging Cloud computing vulnerabilities, threats, controls, and potential implications for Capital One.
Operate as a trusted advisor for cloud services helping junior team members and developers understand threats and risk mitigation options for cloud services.
Collaborate effectively with colleagues, stakeholders, lines of business and leaders across multiple organizations to achieve Capital One Cloud Security objectives.
Participate in the testing of control design and feasibility study (both manually and through automation) prior to the roll out of Cloud services for enterprise-wide consumption.
Basic Qualifications :
High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent Certification
At least 6 years of experience in Cyber Security
At least 2 years of cloud experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
Preferred Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
3+ years of experience delivering cloud security solutions
2+ years of experience in agile delivery
AWS Solutions Architect or AWS Developer certification
CISSP, CSCP, or equivalent certification

The Security Officer conducts regular monitoring of our property, as well as serving as the first point of contact for visitors entering the building or property, which may vary from location to location.
This individual also assists with investigating on-site incidents, preventing theft, and calmly mitigating escalated situations.
Additionally, the Security Officer acts as a liaison between customers, visitors and employees, as well as prepares documentation necessary to support the security administration program.
What you'll do :
- Ability to work year-round, inside and outside of buildings, with exposure to inclement weather and unpredictable crisis
- Ability to work on various surfaces and environmental terrain including but not limited to tile, wood, concrete, asphalt, grass, curbs, uneven gravel and dirt
- Ability to maneuver safely up and down flights of stairs multiple times during a shift
- Ability to lift, carry or push weight in the following range : 5-25 lbs
- Ability to stand and / or sit at an assigned post for several hours at a time
