Make a difference in a young person’s life! We are seeking a Senior Security Officer at the Joliet Job Corps Center in Illinois.
Job Corps is a federally funded, residential vocational training program for socioeconomically disadvantaged youth aged 16-24, with over 120 locations across the U.
S. (www.JobCorps.gov). This position oversees shift activity, staff deployment and coverage. Implements and enforces center rules, policies, and security practices within scope of authority of Safety & Security Department.
Monitors and supports security of center grounds, buildings, program participants and staff through physical patrol and electronic means.
Summary of Essential Functions
1. Follow strict documentation requirements for security and safety functions for logs, reports, and investigations in compliance with Department of Labor, Corporate and Center guidelines, and policies.
2. Ensure timely submission and detail of shift logs reporting concerns and corrective actions to Manager.
3. Participate in interview process for new staff and provide input on candidates.
4. Provide new staff orientation and training for assigned shift.
5. Secure buildings and property by checking doors, windows, lights, appliances, equipment, locks, and emergency equipment.
Document findings and corrective actions taken.
6. Make recommendations to Manager for service improvements and safety enhancements.
7. Conduct and document security investigations as directed.
8. Oversee parking and traffic control monitoring, documentation, and reporting protocols.
9. Perform routine vehicle inspections for visitors, students, and staff in compliance with center policies.
10. Conduct personal safety checks for visitors and individuals entering center grounds, issue, collect and account for visitor passes.
11. Oversee collection, documentation, storage, disposal and / or return of confiscated items.
12. Respond to fire alarms and safety alerts taking necessary steps to maintain safety of students and staff and security of buildings and grounds.
13. Assist staff in monitoring student movements, controlling disturbances and maintain order. Document activity and security incidents reporting violations and corrective actions taken to Manager.
14. Interface with local law enforcement and community representatives as needed in performance of duties.
15. Create a supportive work environment that motivates staff to work effectively together.
16. Model positive behavior and a high level of conflict resolution skills at all times.
17. Participate in department meetings and all mandated PRH and corporate training.
18. Utilize information systems and handle student data in strict adherence to Job Corps and Strategix policies to protect student’s personally identifiable information (PII) and reduce network security threats.

Qualifications
Minimum
High school diploma or equivalent and three years’ experience working in security field. Knowledge of standard security and safety protocols.
High level of conflict resolution and verbal communication skills. Information technology proficiency including MS Office.
Unless waived by management, a valid driver's license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record is required.
The incumbent may be required to obtain a commercial driver’s license (CDL).
Preferred
State Security Officer Certification. Supervisory experience. Previous Job Corps experience.

About the role :
GoHealth is looking for a Senior Security Engineer to join its InfoSec department. This person will play an integral role in ensuring protection of our network and data.
This candidate will oversee and delegate to the group major initiatives and be involved in strategy, planning, vendor selection, assessment and implementation.

What you’ll do :
- The Candidate will develop and test patches to fix Software, Hardware and Firmware vulnerabilities
- The Candidate will concentrate on vulnerability management including analysis and remediation of IAVMs, Cyber Tasking Orders (CTOs), Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs), Vendor Patches and STIG configurations
- Documentation and verification of all installation and configuration steps
- Develop test plans / procedures for software integration and unit test
- Work with software developers and / or vendors as needed to help diagnose and identify the root cause of problems found during system integration
- Submit problem reports for errors found per Agile processes and coordinate daily integration activities
- Installing and unit testing Cyber Products
- Providing redlines to engineers and feedback to Cyber Leadership will be required as part of this position responsibilities
- Documenting lessons learned, best security engineering practices, and industry standards will be required in daily tasks as well
What we’re looking for :
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience required, with expertise in security architecture design, network security, mobile security, vulnerability management, threat intelligence / analysis, and risk management.
- CISSP or CISM Required
- Experience with vendor selection
- Superior collaboration, communication, people management, and coaching skills
- In-depth understanding of relevant frameworks and regulations including HIPAA, SOX, and NIST
- Ability to translate complex technology and security information into understandable business risks
- Demonstrated ability to build consensus and execute iteratively as a pragmatic change agent

Position Details :
The Security Engineering Manager leads the team in the implementation, automation, and management of Grainger security tools.
You will provide guidance and set strategy as the team continues to improve Grainger security posture. You will act in a liaison capacity with other areas within Enterprise Systems, the business and company vendors or suppliers.
You will report to the Director of the Attack Surface Management team in Grainger Information Security Group.
Compensation :
This position is salaried and will pay between $126990-$195330 with a target bonus of 15%

You Will :

Responsibilities :
Provide general security duties to client, such as : crime prevention, crime reduction, and order maintenance by observing, documenting, and reporting activities.
