Amentum is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to join our team in West Palm Beach, FL to support the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) mission.

The Cyber Security Analyst will be working closely with team members in various locations in Florida and in Andros Island, Bahamas.

As a Cyber Security Analyst, you will be responsible for maintaining Assessment and Accreditation documentation utilizing RMF processes and procedures, security auditing, compliance auditing and implementation, among other duties, under the guidance of the Information System Security Manager.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret US Government Clearance. Note : US Citizenship is required to obtain a Top Secret Clearance.

Essential Responsibilities :

The Cyber Security Analyst will help support the implementation and administration of information security policies, practices, procedures, and technologies

Must complete projects on time and work within deadlines and have the ability to adjust to ever-changing cyber security needs and scenarios.

Expertise will be an integral part of our all-encompassing Cybersecurity Management deliverable.

Promotes a culture of security awareness and seize opportunities to educate staff at all levels about security awareness concepts

Embraces collaboration, have strong communication skills and be able to translate to non-technical users

Performs security assessments on systems using various tools, including, but not limited to, NESSUS vulnerability scanners, ACAS security tools and eMass.

Creates, reviews and analyzes various types of security reports, including, but not limited to, risk assessments, compliance reports, audit logs, access logs and system logs.

Monitors and reports on any misuse of accounts and security policy violations.

Assists in the development and maintenance of IT security guidelines and procedures.

Documents best practices with the Cybersecurity department and Operations department staff using available collaboration tools and workspaces.

Performs and initiates special assignments as necessary.

Ability to understand vulnerabilities at a technical level and capable of recommending and effectively communicating mitigation strategy.

Ability to communicate professionally.

Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Requirements :

2-4 years of experience working in an Information Security capacity with demonstrated working knowledge of Information Security standards as applicable to the Risk Management Framework (RMF), cyber security requirements and best practices.

Associate’s degree in Cyber Security, IT or related field; relevant experience in lieu of degree.

CompTIA Security+ is required.

Well versed in Microsoft office suite to include Word, Excel and Visio.

Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members and work efficiently to resolve time sensitive issues is a must.

May be exposed to moderate noise levels from machinery.

Work is primarily performed in standard office environments and is primarily sedentary, although there may be some carrying of laptops, books, printouts, manuals, files and equipment.

Duties may also involve stooping, kneeling, crawling, reaching and moving of equipment in order to install or check the installations of network devices and cabling.

Work involves operation of personal computer equipment daily.

Ability to travel to remote work location on Andros Island, Bahamas for up to 10 days at a time.

Must be able to reside in remote work location with limited medical facilities.

Valid driver’s license and passport will be required.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret US Government Clearance. Note : US Citizenship is required to obtain a Top Secret Clearance.

Overview

Under the direction of the Chief Information Officer, Information Technology will be responsible for the Information Security Program in partnership with the Chief Compliance Officer and his / her team.

The manager, Information Security will work under the Director, IT Infrastructure and Operations, to carry out the duties that will support the Information Security policies and practices of the organization.

Skills of a Manager, Information Security include but are not limited to : Strong policy and process knowledge including HIPAA, SOX, IT auditing skills, and has the expertise to deal with a variety of technologies and customers.

Proficiency in designing and managing security remediation plans is a must and the ability to be hands on when necessary.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions :

• Recommend security systems that will provide detection, prevention, containment and deterrence mechanisms to protect and maintain the integrity of healthcare data.
• Manage Information Security program initiatives and staff to support security best practices and meet regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of all security related policies and procedures designed to protect the organizations sensitive information from misuse, unauthorized access and loss of integrity
• Ensures the ongoing interaction and flexibility of Information Security with District Business strategies and requirements.
• Ensures that the access control, disaster recovery, business continuity, incident response and risk management needs of the district are properly addressed.
• Responsible for the development, management and reporting of security remediation plans and risk registries to reduce the organizations overall security risk.

• Provides clear and concise statuses and project plans to the Director, Infrastructure and leadership as directed.
• Participates in on-call coverage as defined by IT management.
• Provides the technical leadership for security based projects.
• Emergency duty may be required of the incumbent that includes working in Red Cross shelters or to perform other emergency duties including, but not limited to, responses to threats or disasters, man-made or natural.

Qualifications

Education :

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field with a concentration in information technology security. Equivalent combination of experience, along with high school diploma or GED, may substitute for minimum education requirements.

Experience :

A minimum five (5) years’ experience in implementing and supporting information security for applications, web architectures, operating systems, databases, and networks in the health care industry.

Certification :

• CompTIA Security+ certification required.
• CEH : Certified Ethical Hacker preferred.
• CISSP Certified Information Systems Security Professional required.
• CISM Certified Information Security Manager preferred.
• Additional Microsoft or Cisco certifications a plus.

Licensure :

Valid Florida Driver’s License required.

Training :

Strong technical skills (application and operating system hardware, vulnerability assessments, security audits, TCP / IP, intrusion detection systems, firewalls, etc.
