About The Role
Rippling is growing exceptionally fast and we have a 600 person engineering team that ships code dozens of times every day.
As a senior infrastructure security engineer you’ll be working closely with the infrastructure team to build safeguards, enabling engineers to move fast safely, writing code to resolve cloud security problems and defining the direction of our infrastructure security team.
What You'll Do :
- Design, build and scale security data pipelines that will transform millions of log records into measurable security signals.
- Implement security controls for Terraform, Kubernetes and AWS.
- Work with our engineering partners to create engineering paved paths.
- Define and provide actionable security metrics for the organization.
- Help create and execute a detailed infrastructure security roadmap and vision.
- Participate in security design reviews and threat model exercises.
- Provide mentorship to other engineers.
Qualifications :
- 7+ years of experience in security or software engineering in a cloud environment.
- Have implemented security controls in Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in either Python or Go.
- Moderate familiarity with deployment automation / configuration management (eg. Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible)
- Expertise with AWS security controls and services.

We’re looking for a Security Engineer to join our Offensive Security Team!
What you’ll do :
Perform comprehensive offensive security and privacy assessments (Red & Orange teaming) across cloud, and mobile environments.
Emulate attacks from real world adversaries in order to assess and improve our security and signaling.
Discover vulnerabilities and exploit them in a discreet manner to minimize detection and avoid unnecessary disruption.
Collaborate with sister security and privacy engineering teams, to provide strategic roadmap guidance, highlighting gaps in our security infrastructure, detection and signaling capabilities.
Come up with technical solutions to address security weaknesses and work with relevant stakeholders to implement them.
Write code to build attack payloads, exploit vulnerabilities and automate various team operations.
Provide subject matter expertise as needed by the incident response team.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Deep understanding of application, network, mobile, operating system or cloud infrastructure security.
Ability to use modern languages (JavaScript, Python, Go etc.) for enumeration, discovery and payload development.
Ability to communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of a company.
Experienced with threat modeling and weighing various avenues of attack in offensive security engagements.

Minimum Qualifications :
BS / BA degree or equivalent years of experience.
Prior experience performing offensive security assessments.
3+ years of experience in a Security Engineer related role.

Preferred Qualifications :

Compensation
In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.
These pay zones may be modified in the future.
The base salary range for this position is $165,00 - $230,000 annually
The base salary range for this position is $157,000 - $219,000 annually
The base salary range for this position is $140,000 - $196,000 annually
This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs

TBD is looking for a passionate Staff Security Engineer who is excited to jump in and help drive security engineering efforts.
We are looking for individuals that have hands-on experience securing the payment process. You should have a natural sense of curiosity, a propensity for action, and a collaborative and diplomatic approach to problem solving.
You will also work cross functionally with engineering teams to architect security solutions.
