REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS :

The following skills and qualifications are required for this position :

o 18 years of age or older, due to the nature of work

o Possess a current full valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located (including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program for your state or province) as well as the ability to meet our driving record requirements to use a company vehicle, as needed

oPossess or are working towards a degree in Business / Marketing OR have related industry experience and knowledge of the local market

oExcellent written and oral communication skills

oProficient computer skills

o Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency

oExhibit strong aptitude for sales and a desire to sell

oHighly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented

oDemonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork

o Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 75lbs

oPass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

Outside Parts and Service Sales Representatives I-State Truck Center Outside Parts Sales Representatives fulfill a critical role in our operations.

They are responsible for increasing Parts and Service Sales with existing accounts and prospecting for new accounts in their assigned territory.

They solicit new business and maintain accounts through face-to-face and phone contacts, developing networks and industry contacts, promoting our value-added products and services and keeping customer satisfaction a priority.

Job Duties :

  • The primary duties of this position will be to actively promote service and parts sales in the assigned territory
  • Communicates parts orders and delivery instructions to counter people, while also coordinating with Service Advisors on service work
  • Keeps abreast of new products, competition and pricing trends.
  • Coordinates relationships with New and Used Equipment prospects.
  • Promotes the sales of parts and accessories and is an advisor to wholesale or retail customers.
  • In conjunction with Credit Manager, establishes a method of payment on service and wholesale parts.
  • Follows up on and confirms customer requirements and orders to ensure satisfaction.
  • Completes necessary paperwork for processing warranty claims, as required.
  • Review special orders and pricing with the manager for approvals.
  • Deliver orders and pick-up returns from customers, as needed.
  • Other duties to meet business needs.
  • Actively identify and develop new customer contacts to expand market share
  • Assist customers in solving problems and provide technical support
  • Act as a liaison between the customer and company as needed to ensure that the customer needs are adequately met

Position Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent required
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. to waist high
