About the Role

In this role, you will engage and connect with our customers by providing excellent customer service. You will be an expert in product and use this expertise to educate, inform, inspire and outfit the customer.

You will offer information to the customer on current merchandise assortment, store promotions and events, and execute operational processes effectively and efficiently.

Your goal is to bring our brand to life for our customers while building brand loyalty and delivering with productivity.

  • All associates are expected to become experts of the brand's selling behaviors, leveraging these behaviors with every customer who walks through our doors and allowing us to provide a premium customer experience.
  • Acknowledge and assist customers; locate merchandise efficiently using various methods; answer questions quickly and accurately
  • Offer style and outfit suggestions to the customer, utilizing mannequins and displays for inspiration
  • Promote loyalty by educating customers about our loyalty programs
  • Leverage omni channel offerings to deliver a frictionless customer experience
  • Support sales floor, fitting room, check out, and back of house processes, as required
  • Courteous and responsive to internal / external request
  • Exchange and verifies job related information to provide support

Job Summary

Establish an on-going relationship with store management by completing scheduled route. Communicate with store or location management at each assigned stop to ensure complete satisfaction with the Packaged Ice Program.

Invoice and / or credit bags when selling new boxes of bags, or per retailer policy; submit a sale / credit report to supervisor at least monthly.

Maintain in-store bag inventory levels as designated by management.

Retail Merchandisers use their own vehicles and are reimbursed with a fixed monthly fee for depreciation and auto insurance, and a per-mile variable fee for fuel and maintenance

This is a full-time, permanent position with Reddy Ice that includes a competitive hourly wage, a full benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and a company-matching 401(k) plan.

Education & Experience Required :

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must possess driving record that meets or exceeds company-qualifying standards
  • Demonstrated work experience in a client-facing, customer service environment

Demonstrated work experience in mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, or electrical fields or disciplines

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

Retail stores, driving between retail stores and plant location. Ability to climb ladders and work with light duty tools.

Must be able to lift 40 lbs. Work is conducted in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. The ability to manage stress, build professional and collaborative relationships, and reason through complex business situations is essential.

This position requires occasional overtime and may require night / weekend work.

Store Associate

A store associate provides the best possible service to our customers on the selling floor resulting in repeat customers and increased sales.

To achieve this goal, teamwork will be required among all employees. Certain non-selling tasks must also be completed in order to maintain exceptional customer service.

  • Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 20 pounds (while wearing a provided safety belt) to unload and process merchandise.
  • Must have full hand and arm usage for operating machines such as POS terminals and ticketing machines.
  • Must be able to push and pull merchandise fixtures (minimum resistance of 10+ pounds) for presentation and department changes.
  • Must be able to handle cleaning equipment (vacuum, broom, mop, duster, etc.) used for maintaining cleanliness.
