Are you fashion obsessed and want to learn more about buying, merchandising, customer service and trend forecasting, all while working with a team of fashion lovers just like you?

Responsibilities
- Assessing and purchasing a wide variety of fashionable, pre-loved, quality clothing from customers.
- Pricing clothing purchased from customers, giving them the best possible price, while keeping sales merchandise affordable.
- Maintaining knowledge of current fashion trends and price points.
- Communicating store inventory needs to customers.
- Assisting with visual displays that appeal to different styles
Additional Duties
- Working at the Point of Sale (POS) counter and handling all sales-related tasks, including operating our POS software, counting cash, making change and providing customers trade cards for the clothing they’ve sold.
- Assisting customers on the sales floor, and at the dressing room, register and buy counter.
- Processing merchandise so it’s ready for the sales floor.
- Keeping the store clean and presentable.
- Assisting with store security, including checking bags and monitoring the dressing rooms and other parts of the store.

About the Role :
Sitka is looking for a Retail Gear Guide to join our team for the opening of our Dallas, Texas store. You will provide customers with a premium experience and excellent customer service in an engaging and authentic way.
You value the opportunity to help customers find the gear that supports their pursuit. In this role, you will report to the Store Manager.
This is not a remote position.
This is a contract position.
Located in Dallas, TX
Rotational Retail Hours; Store is open M-S 10-7 Sun 12-5
General Job Duties :
- Authentically engage with all customers to provide exceptional customer service and experience
- Become a brand expert on all things SITKA
- Assist in inventory procedures including floor replenishment, third party orders, shipping, receiving, cycle counting, etc.
- Uphold premium merchandising standards that create an exceptional customer experience
- Execute store cleaning responsibilities
- Provide an excellent checkout experience for all sales, returns and exchange transactions using POS
- Assist with store events
- Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience :
- At least 1 year of customer service and / or retail experience preferred
- Ability to effectively and accurately complete POS transactions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of outdoor gear preferred
- Must love outdoors, hunting knowledge preferred
Physical Requirements :
- Stand for the duration of the shift
- Move and process shipments
- Ability to lift 45 lbs
