Provides receptionist support to the plasma collection center, under the general direction of the Plasma Center Manager.
Primarily provides customer service and performs administrative duties.
All below listed responsibilities must be completed in compliance with federal, state, local and company-specific regulations related to quality of product, employee and donor safety, and to the proper performance of day-to-day
activities. Employees must also maintain complete and accurate records, in accordance with cGMP.
- Administrative functions related to new donors, repeat donors and SPE only donors that include but are not limited to (60%) : Verifying appointment timesAssisting donors with future appointmentsEnsuring repeat donors scan in electronic systemCreating or pulling donor record filesVerifying prior donationsRequesting identification for new donorsNotifying the appropriate personnel that visitor / donor has arrivedContact donors to remind them of physical appointmentsMaintain orderly filing system, purging records as needed
- Answers incoming phone calls in a timely manner exhibiting strong customer service skills. (20%)
- Greets all visitors to the facility including new and repeat donors in a timely manner exhibiting strong customer service skills (20%)

- Requires excellent English language comprehension, both written and verbal

Essential : High School Diploma or equivalent required

Experience in a laboratory, hospital, or other regulated environment is a plus

How you will change lives
As a receptionist at The Kidney Care Center, you will be an integral part of a cross- functional
team, working with healthcare providers to facilitate quality care for patients living with kidney disease.
What you will be doing
The Receptionist is responsible for answering the phones, greeting and welcoming patients , family and visitors, and maintaining records for effective operational management of the dialysis facility.
- Performs duties of receptionist including answering / routing phone calls, greeting visitors, distribution of mail and faxes, and monitoring / straightening the waiting room.
- Updates and maintains medical records for in-center and home patients in neat, organized, and professional manner to include periodic purging of outdated information.
- Updates patients' insurance and contact information as needed.
- Assists with completion of patient admission process.
- Enters / uploads data into facility EMR system as appropriate .
- Contacts transportation services for patient pick-up.
- Inventories / orders breakroom, cleaning, and office supplies.
- Reports all incidents, complaints, or problems to Charge Nurse in a timely manner .
- Complies with HIPAA regulations.
- Other duties, as assigned.
