Residence Hall Desk Receptionist - Seasonal
JOB DESCRIPTION
This position serves as front-line personnel helping to ensure the safety of on-campus students and is the first point of entry into Residence Hall.
Will screen and register all visitors entering the dorm. Ensures housing protocols are followed. Will be responsible for manning the desk at all times.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Observes all people entering dorm.
Ensures each visitor registers / signs-in.
Ensures the name of guest and the name and room number of the student being visited for guest log. Follows dorm manual procedures.
Answers telephones.
Records all messages for students.
Contacts the Dorm Director and Security in case of emergencies.
Maintains written documentation of all incidents.
Keeps desk area and lobby area clean and tidy.
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION :
Requires a high school diploma or GED.
EXPERIENCE / SKILLS / ABILITIES :
- Prefer 3 6 months clerical or customer service experience.
- Must have a stable work background and be detail oriented.
- Requires good oral, written, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Requires the ability to follow instructions and established procedures, and make sound judgments.
- Must be able to maintain composure during times of emergency and be aware of emergency procedures. Requires the ability to work in a high-paced environment with high customer / client contact.
Receptionist
Responsibilities
1. Answer phone calls from residents and external callers, directing calls to the proper person.
2. Greet and assist residents, guests, visitors, vendors and contractors on a daily basis.
3 Provide excellent customer service to residents
4 Assist Manager with special projects as required.
5 May organize Special Events for residents as required.
6 May enter work orders, invoices or other items into company systems.
7 May order supplies, perform filing and assist with other office duties as required.

Qualifications
Required Experience :
1 or more years previous experience in a reception position.
Required Education / Training :
HS Degree or GED required

Concierge receptionist

Montereau is currently seeking a part-time Concierge for our Health Center desk. This position will work Saturday & Sunday from 8 : 00am - 2 : 00pm .
Position Summary
Montereau Health Center Concierges maintain a welcoming environment for residents, visitors and staff by providing professional management of the building entrance and concierge desk by demonstrating the highest level of customer service in a manner consistent with the Montereau mission, vision and values.
Essential Functions :
- Assure that the Independent Living (IL) entrance and concierge desk is managed in an efficient, professional manner so that access is monitored and all residents, visitors, staff, and contractors are greeted courteously and announced and / or directed appropriately;
- all inquiries are responded to accurately and completely; incoming calls are screened and routed timely or clear, concise messages are taken when required;
problems are assessed and resolved or referred to leadership as required.
- Complete accurately and timely various assigned administrative reports to assure information regarding IL residents is communicated in a manner that facilitates Montereau operations.
- Responsibilities include : process and log cash receipts; generate daily Flash Report; track IL residents while in the Health Centers or hospital;
assure daily that new residents and discharges are accurately reflected in the Answers on Demand (AOD) software, SARA System, PM Worx and resident directories and current resident information is provided to pertinent departments.
- Continuously monitor emergency systems for IL residents, including the fire panel and emergency call system (pendants, pull cords and smoke detectors) and work closely with Security and Wellness Nurse to assure immediate response to any resident situation or contact appropriate emergency services as required.
- Provide a wide variety of support to the staff and residents to assure the highest level of individualized customer service, including such activities as : receiving packages or flowers and contacting residents for pickup, entering maintenance and housekeeping work requests and advising residents of schedule changes, handling guest suite reservations, taking resident absence notifications, coordinating transportation requests, etc.
- Support Montereau's marketing efforts to maximize resident occupancy by obtaining information from prospective residents inquiring about the community and contacting Marketing with prospect information.
- Sort and process resident and staff mail on a daily basis for expedient delivery.
Other Functions :
- Monitor surveillance and access control system, including programming of resident key fobs.
- Coordinate communications related to resident deaths and securing the associated residence.
- Perform other related functions as required or as assigned.
Position Requirements :
Experience :
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a customer service or administrative position is required
- Previous experience working with older adults or in a healthcare setting is preferred
Education / Certifications / Licenses :
High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience is required
Job Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
- Intermediate level computer skills in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook and ability to learn new software systems
- Solid problem solving and decision making skills

Physical Demands :
In order to accomplish the essential functions of this position, the following are required :
- An extensive amount of sitting, with an occasional amount of walking, standing, kneeling, bending at the waist, and reaching above the head and shoulders

Working Conditions :
