AECOM is seeking a Project Manager to be based in Sacramento, CA .

The responsibilities of the Project Manager will include :

  • Interacts directly with the owner(s) on a daily basis.
  • Responsible for the overall management administration to project(s) and assists in establishing project specific objectives and policies.
  • Provides management and guidance to subordinate staff, enforces company and project policies, and a primary liaison between AECOM and client interface.
  • Oversees and ensures all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule through subordinate managers and supervisors.
  • Responsible for administering the project from budgeting / schedule stage through procurement and contract closeout. Position has significant profit / loss responsibility for assigned project.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s Degree plus eight (8) years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and / or education.
  • A valid US driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management.
  • 15 years full time paid professional experience in Project / Construction Management of Commercial and / or Public / Educational Facility Construction with full responsibility for coordinating complex projects.
  • 5 years’ experience in managing projects for an educational institution or public agency.
  • Full responsibility for coordinating complex projects with construction values in excess of $30M- $50M (not cumulative).
  • Design Build Experience.
  • Experience utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM).
  • Experience with Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified projects and / or the Collaborative for High Performing Schools (CHPS).
  • Experience with Division of the State Architect (DSA) construction / design processes.
  • Safety and OSHA Safety Regulations (OSHA 30 minimum)10.10 A valid Certificate of Registration as an Architect by the California Architectural Board or Professional Engineer by the State Board for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors.
  • A valid Construction Manager (CCM) credential by the Construction Manager Certification Institute (CMCI).

Your future duties and responsibilities :

As an Infrastructure Project Manager you'll be the person assigned to be responsible for the achievement of the project objectives.

Our Project Managers plan and deliver the project / work-package to time, budget and quality. You will also be required to work with other team members across programmes of work to support the wider business or multiple accounts, and there will be ample opportunity for you to develop your project management career within our teams.

In order to join us as a Project Manager you will need to be able to demonstrate a good understanding of project management principles and a good organisational skills, an ability to communicate well with client stakeholders, technical resources and managers, communications and project delivery within a large infrastructure programme, ideally with a public sector client.

You will have demonstrable experience working on infrastructure programmes, e.g. Tech Refresh, Cloud, Virtualisation.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role :

You must be comfortable in a client-facing role, and willing to work on both client sites and in our own CGI office. Excellent communication skills are vital from both a verbal and written perspective.

Any professional Project Management accreditations and / or qualifications such as Prince2 or PMI’s PMPA would be an advantage along with solid financial / budgetary management experience.
