Georgia-Pacific is seeking Production Technicians at our Rincon, GA facility to manufacture tissue, towel, and napkins safely and efficiently.
This position offers opportunities for development within your role and future growth within the company. The Production Technicians work a rotating 12-hour shift to include weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
The pay for this position starts at $18 per hour.

Our Savannah River Mill in Rincon, GA began operations in October 1986 and is considered a world-class operation in the industry.
Five of the world's 12 largest tissue paper machines reside at the facility. Our operation is designed to produce products primarily from recycled fiber.
We have over 50 converting lines that make the tissue, towel, and napkin products in our retail and away from home markets.

Schedule : The Mill operates 24 / 7 and 365 days per year. Therefore, our mill operates using a 12-hour rotating schedule that includes holidays, weekends, and overtime.
Our rotating schedule allows for a regular 14 days off every 4-week period. See example below. DS Day Shift 6 : 50 A.M.-7 : 10 P.

What You Will Do
- Operating equipment to defined standards and product specification targets
- Operating mobile equipment to transfer product
- Troubleshooting minor machine malfunctions and making machine adjustments
- Executing entry-level maintenance on auxiliary equipment such as lubrication tasks or conveyor maintenance
- Performing equipment changeovers

- Experience working in an environment where daily goals / quotas had to be met
- Experience working on a team

Production Supervisor

As a Production Supervisor you will work in an empowered environment to oversee the entire home-building process for millions of dollars of new home inventory.
As they train you in the new construction process, you'll serve as an on-site management trainee and will work alongside a Project Manager to learn how to effectively manage a job site.
You'll be responsible for construction consulting, quality control, customer relations, and budget management and will experience the personal satisfaction of contributing to the construction of a community of new homes.
This is an entry-level training role, designed to onboard, train, and groom Supervisors to become Project Managers. Supervisors work hand-in-hand, and day-to-day, with the Project Managers, assisting them, as well as learning from them.
Additionally, there is formal training provided at multiple levels to aid them in this growth.
Upon promotion to Project Manager, your base salary typically increases, and a bonus becomes an option. The Project Managers Oversees construction of residential homes from cradle to grave.
Primary duties will include planning, scheduling, coordinating, and supervising the construction of these homes. The company is looking for strong leaders and wants them to complete the Production Supervisor training in a timely manner.

Production Control
Summary
The Production Control will provide work with the Operations Manager and Productions Managers to ensure efficient and accurate label production.
In addition, the Production Control will print labels as well as assist in addressing issues within the office including operational, scheduling, and mechanical.
Role and Responsibilities :
- Ensure efficient label production according to company policy.
- Assist and print labels to meet production goals
- Assist in the monitoring of inventory levels.
- Report any mechanical problems with computers or printers.
- Maintain office files & spreadsheets.

- Under the direction of the Plant Manager.

Physical Demands

- Indoor and outdoor work is required.
- Must be able to wear protective clothing such as a hairnet, rubber-soled shoes, earplugs and a beard guard (if applicable).

- Must be able to lift 10 lbs. occasionally during the day.
