InGenesis is currently seeking a Physician Assistant to work with our client located in Chicago, IL. In this role, the PA will be responsible for providing care and medical treatment to employees with work related injuries / illnesses in a manufacturing environment.
This position will require effective communications skills with other teams / departments at the facility.

Job Duties
- Examine and treat patients independently and in autonomous collaboration with the Chief Physician for the medical department.
- Assess, diagnose, treat and manage occupational injuries and illnesses.
- Review and interpret x-rays related to occupational injuries.
- Conduct Physical examination for Pre-employment, Return to work, Medical Surveillance
- Review health history forms.
- Adhere to legitimate legal practice regulations as defined by the Illinois Public Health Code.
- Review labs, X-ray and MRI results when Chief Physician not available.
- Perform minor procedures such as suturing and foreign body removal (skin, cornea, conjunctiva).
- Conduct EKG's, pulmonary function tests, respiratory fit tests. Calibrate pirometer, audio and others as needed (breathalyzer, AED).
- Manage administrative functions such as opening and closing of medical leaves, scheduling of appointments and follow up with outside consultants.
- Interact with Human Resources, Safety, Workers' Compensation and Labor in the management of injured or ill employees.
- Educate employees on disease processes, medications, and injuries.
- Supervise nursing staff on their assigned shift.
- Prescriptive Privileges based on delegation by the Chief Physician and regulated physician assistant practice in Illinois.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies.
- Current, unrestricted Illinois license.
- Physician Assistant certification (PA-C).
- Experience in Occupational Health or urgent / emergency care.
- 1 or more years' experience as a Physician Assistant.
- 1 or more years health care experience in treating musculoskeletal injuries and conditions areas Ex. urgent care, emergency room, or orthopedic settings.
- Ability to work a 2nd shift schedule.

The Department of Medicine, Division of Digestive Diseases and Nutrition is currently recruiting for a Lead Physician Assistant of Gastroenterology (GI) to join their team.
This role will function in both the inpatient and outpatient settings, and will provide leadership and oversight for APPs across all GI subspecialties and locations.
The GI APP team is currently comprised of 12 APPs in the following gastroenterology subspecialties : general, endobariatric, inflammatory bowel disease, and interventional.
The practice locations include Rush main campus, Rush Oak Brook, Rush Oak Park, and Rush South Loop.
The Division Digestive Diseases and Nutritions Section of Gastroenterology is part of the Digestive Diseases Service Line which integrates clinical care, teaching, and research efforts to advance the subspecialty.
The gastroenterology APP team are part of an integrated team of faculty, clinicians, and researchers who also collaborate with allergy / immunology (GI / adverse reactions to food clinic), colorectal surgery and oncology (a comprehensive clinic for gastrointestinal cancers), bariatric surgery, ENT, pathology, and neurology.
Additionally, our training program continues to provide the GI subspecialty with exceptionally trained physicians. The program accepts 4 general GI fellows in training per class and includes an advanced therapeutic and inflammatory bowel disease training program (two 4th year fellows per year one for each advanced fellowship program).
Digestive Diseases clinical care is rendered across multiple hospitals and locations within our system (Rush University Medical Center, Rush Oak Brook, Rush Oak Park Hospital, and other off-site locations including south loop).
There are also several free-standing clinical sites with plans to expand our footprint with continued future development.

Responsibilities :
Administer intranasal esketamine (Spravato) and monitor patients during mandated monitoring times
Assess patients for appropriateness of Spravato treatment through patient consults
Provide Psychiatric medication management to existing and new patients
Work in tandem with our Psychiatrist to conduct follow ups and recommend new patients for TMS (transcranial magnetic stimulation)
Facilitate drug and pregnancy tests as necessary
Conduct consultations for Medication Management as well as routine follow up visits
Perform patient evaluations and assessments as necessary
Treatment plan development
Monitoring progress of patients
Communication with staff, family, and patients
Collaborate with clinical staff as well as other department leads

Qualifications :

- Advanced Practice Licensure (APN) or certified Physician Assistant with an applicable state license
- Must have an active license and DEA #
