Strategic Operations Associate, Investment Allocation

Uber is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our US & Canada Rides Operations team working on Investment Allocation within our Core Ops vertical. If you love setting a vision, managing cross-functional partners, pushing projects forward to deliver strategically meaningful results, and solving problems from both 30,000 feet as well as deep in the details, this is the role for you!

Our Investment Allocation team is responsible for growing and balancing Uber’s mobility marketplace via investments in rider and driver incentives, all while delivering key financial results that drive profitability for the business. This includes competitive intelligence, development and execution of investment methods, marketplace analysis, and support for the launch of new investment technologies. This team owns the narrative on investment efficiency and competitive investment strategy for the US. This team works closely with other teams across Operations, Product, Data Science, Marketing, and Finance, among others.

What You'll Do

  • Develop analytical frameworks to support the company in business decision-making
  • Identify operational weaknesses and help improve or innovate processes
  • Build, maintain, communicate, and present detailed reporting
  • Present models, findings and insights to senior management to drive business decisions
  • Collaborate with local and other Central Operations teams, as well as other functions (Finance, Product, Marketing, etc.), to ensure that insights inform broader critical initiatives, and plan and execute projects of varying time horizons and scope

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • At least 2 years of experience
  • Data-first problem solver with excellent Excel / data analysis skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in strategy / consulting / business intelligence or related experience
  • Some high-growth operations, tech, or startup experience is strongly preferred
  • SQL experience strongly preferred
  • Outstanding clear communicator
  • Strong, demonstrated leadership capabilities managing multiple stakeholders
  • Self-motivated, works independently and possesses strong organization and time management skills

For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is $88,000 per year - $98,000 per year.

For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is $98,000 per year - $109,000 per year.

For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is $98,000 per year - $109,000 per year.

For Seattle, WA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is $88,000 per year - $98,000 per year.

For Washington, DC-based roles: The base salary range for this role is $98,000 per year - $109,000 per year.
