Key Responsibilities
At this time, we are seeking a Per Diem / PRN Occupational Therapist to join our team.
Responsibilities include but not limited to :
- Evaluates and treats patients / residences
- Communicates with families, physicians and other health team members.
- Maintains documentation of services in the medical record.
- Conducts in-services and training for facility staff on an ongoing basis in restorative techniques.
Qualifications :
- Graduate of an accredited college or university with a Bachelors degree in Occupational Therapy. Also Referred to as : OT, OTR / L, OTR, MOT, MSOT, DOT
- Education and / or Experience : Two years (preferred) of clinical experience in the field of physical disabilities working as a Therapist.
- Interest in sub-acute, geriatric rehabilitation and general rehabilitation.
- Licensure as an Occupational Therapist necessary to work in Long Term Care.

What you will do in this role :
- The Occupational Therapist is responsible for the evaluation of patients; development, coordination, and implementation of the treatment plan;
- maintenance of informative, accurate, and timely documentation; participation in team meetings; training of others as indicated;
and participation in continuing education.
- Appropriate treatment can include, but is not limited to : range of motion, strengthening, cognitive / visual-perceptive activities, sensory / exercise activities, activities of daily living, modalities, fabrication of splints or adaptive equipment, development of home exercise programs, and training in the treatment program.
- Evaluation skills should demonstrate knowledge of the developmental needs of adult and geriatric patients, as well as the diagnosis.
The evaluation should be performed according to instructions, especially if the evaluation is standardized. Every patient should be reevaluated at least every two weeks or more frequently to modify the treatment plan if indicated.
Education :
Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university is required. Masters degree is preferred.
What qualifications you will need :
- One year of related experience and / or training is preferred.
- Current Occupational Therapist Texas Licensure.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support course (BLS or BCLS) and certification is required.

The Occupational Therapist, under the direction of the Program Coordinator, shall provide occupational therapy services to students, families, and school personnel.
Services will include student evaluation to determine the necessity for occupational therapy services and the provision of comprehensive services that are educationally related.

Averge Compensation Range :
Fulltime : $36.50 - $44.23 / hr

Summary :
Provide occupational therapy (OT) and related services for patients while maintaining positive levels of interaction with facilities and clients in accordance with the principles and practices of occupational therapy and within Reliant Rehabilitation guidelines.

- Optimize the functionality and skills of patients by providing, directing, and / or overseeing occupational therapy
