About the Role :
Arbour Counseling Services is excited to offer a Part Time, 10 hr / week opportunity between the hours of 9am and 2pm for an Occupational Therapist in our Partial Hospitalization Program in Allston, MA.
Our Partial Hospitalization Programs are group-based and short-term for individuals requiring a higher level of care. Our teams work to promote a group that is therapeutic, safe, and supportive.

We are looking for a committed and patient-focused Occupational Therapist to include running Occupational Therapy Groups as well as some individualized treatment.
This position would include some travel to other Massachusetts locations.
Essential Responsibilities :
- Select and adapt the appropriate per case occupational therapy treatment model, method and approach to direct the process of interventions
- Teach clients new ways of approaching tasks and educate them on how to break down activities into achievable components
- Observe, note, and report on progress of long and short term treatment goals
- Collect data and document processes followed
- Regularly follow-up client

Qualifications
- Psych Occupational Therapist experience required
- Excellent knowledge of principles and practice of occupational therapy
- Familiarity with evaluation tools
- Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities
- Current knowledge of treatment practices per discipline and drive to continually learn and grow in the profession
- Graduate of an Occupational Therapy program approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association
- Licensed to practice occupational therapy in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- High energy level, superior interpersonal skills and ability to function in a team atmosphere
- Good communication skills
- Must possess excellent vision and hearing, and the ability to read and speak English
- Candidate must possess appropriate citizenship work documentation
- Candidate must pass a CORI and drug test, as well as other pre-employment documentation

Qualifications :

You will partner with parents / caregivers to ensure service delivery is individualized, meaningful for the family, and grounded in evidence-based practice.

Position Responsibilities :
- Participate in multidisciplinary team assessments of client’s developmental status.
- Provide direct services and activities developmentally appropriate for children 0-3 and their families.
- Participate in the development of Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP) with responsibility for identifying goals, objectives, and strategies related to the child’s development.
