- Cleans residential rooms and baths ensuring all patient areas are disinfected and meet property standards
- Handles linens and personal clothing items in accordance with appropriate Infection Control Policies
- Disposes of trash daily
- Vacuums all carpets daily, vacuums upholstery as needed
- Demonstrates Service Excellence w / Internal & External Customers
- Washes windows, inside and outside of facilities
- Completes detail cleaning daily
- Is knowledgeable of and complies with the Quality Improvement Monitor of the department
- Follows Hazardous Materials procedure for infectious diseases
- Attends and participates in all departmental meetings
Qualifications
Job Requirements :
- Education : High School education or GED preferred.
- Years of experience needed : Minimum one (1) year in healthcare environment preferred
- License / Certification : N / A
- Skills : Must be able to operate mechanical equipment used in the laundry and housekeeping department. Must be able to read, write and follow instructions.
- Physical Requirements : Must be able to walk, stand, stoop and climb for periods up to eight (8) hours
