We are looking for a dedicated Medical Coder like you to be a part of our team.
Job Summary and Qualifications
As a Medical Coder, you will contribute to the company's mission and vision by reviewing medical record documentation. You will apply appropriate coding based upon the diagnosis and procedure guidelines for code selections that adhere to HCA-ASD Coding Compliance Policies and Procedures.
What you will do in this role :
- You will code outpatient surgery center(s) records in a timely manner, including the assignment of ICD-10-CM, E / M, Procedure Categories, and HCPCS / CPT procedure codes
- You will code an average of 80-150 charts per day
- You are responsible for resolving codes and diagnosis with conflicting or unclear information by utilizing the query tool to gather additional information
- You will ensure 3M encoder updates are timely and accurate
- You will bill cases by furnishing completed assessments of billing supplies and implants
- You will be assisting with preparation for accrediting bodies and / or state reviews
- You are responsible for reviewing official data quality standards, coding guidelines, company policies and procedures, and clinical resources to assure coding knowledge and skills remain current
Qualifications you will need :
- Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrators (RHIA) college degree preferred
- Minimum (2) years' experience in outpatient coding and / or Health Information Management required
- Minimum (1) year of experience in a medical office setting highly preferred (i.e. ambulatory surgery center, hospital, doctors office)
- Completed coursework in Human Anatomy & Physiology, Medical Terminology, Introduction to Coding (including ICD-10 and CPT) preferred
- Successful completion of an ICD-10-CM training or certification curriculum; or if currently pursuing such, then completion of 50% or more of the curriculum to date with an expectation of finishing within 2 months after hire.
- Must provide certification from a recognized professional coding organization, transcript from an educational institution, or similar proof of successful completion (i.
e., competency assessments).
This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and / or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).

Medical Technologist
Experience and Education
Bachelor's degree in medical technology or related field- No experience required- Certification as Medical Technologist by approved accrediting agency.
New graduates can be hired without the certification, but will be given the opportunity to earn it within six months of hire date.
Shift : Mon-Fri, 9AM-5 : 30PM, rotate weekends and holidays
Job Duties
1. Job knowledge : Accurately performs testing according to and without deviation from established laboratory policies and procedures.
Recognizes deviation from expected results; evaluates results for discrepancies and feasibility, utilizing instrument and LIS flags, analyzes and corrects problems according to procedure.
Recognizes critical results and correctly documents notification of critical results to appropriate personnel.
2. Quality Orientation : Performs all quality control procedures to ensure validity of test results. Evaluates, documents, and troubleshoots quality control according to lab protocols.
Takes appropriate corrective action when errors are detected or specimen rejection / recollection is required. Ensures patient specimen stability and proper sample processing.
Treat all proficiency test samples according to CAP guidelines and laboratory expectations.
3. Instrumentation : Performs instrument startup and shutdown. Perform and document all maintenance procedures and calibrations, as needed.
Evaluates function checks and calibration results. Performs corrective action when necessary.
4. Productivity : Ensures smooth workflow in all areas of the laboratory. Exhibits efficient use of time and resources. Meets expectations for TAT and pending list review.
Coordinates daily tasks to achieve maximum productivity and efficiency during the assigned shift
5. Attendance : Reports for work on the assigned days at the assigned times.
6. Performs special projects such as evaluation of new reagents, procedures, tests, or other duties as assigned.
7. Achieves a minimum of 10 continuing education hours annually. Continuously seeks knowledge in and outside of functional area.

PrideStaff's medical client located in North Dallas is looking to hire 3 Integrity Specialists to support their billing and coding department.
Medical billing and coding experience is required.

Job Description :
This position will directly support the Revenue Specialist.
The Revenue Integrity Specialist works closely with leadership to identify coding, charging and documentation discrepancies.
Assists with discovery, data collection, and analysis of errors within patient accounts / records, coding and possesses the ability to query providers and clinical staff in order to facilitate corrections and ensure efficient billing practices.
Assists and supports in day-to-day operations charge capture, coding, and escalations.
Assists with oversight of the outsourced coding team, inventory, and escalations.
Participates in quality assurance for coding, charge capture, and billing. Partners with clinical, CBO, and leadership to identify and implement best practices related to coding and billing practices.
Analyzes, maintains reporting metrics, and tracks trends related to revenue cycle. Identifies opportunities for process improvement through reporting, observations, and makes measurable recommendations to appropriate leadership.
Qualifications -
High school diploma or equivalent is required
Certified Coder AHIMA (CCS, CCS-P) or AAPC Certified coder (CPC) or experience.
Associate’s degree or some college is preferred
Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) preferred
Minimum of two years hospital revenue integrity or coding or billing experience. Coder or Certified Revenue Cycle Representative certification may be used in lieu of years of experience.
Knowledge of hospital revenue cycle
Experience reading and understanding medical records and identifying discrepancies between medical information, coding, and financial charges.
Knowledge of accounting principles in hospital / medical facility
Knowledge of health insurance, industry terminology, and regulatory guidelines.
Knowledge of medical and insurance terminology and coding. Complying with medical coding guidelines and policies. Assigning codes appropriately as per government and insurance regulations.
Due to the nature of the working environment Drug Screen, Immunizations and Covid Vaccination is Required.
