Responsibilities Works collaboratively with the clinic and operational staff and follows the directions of the Office Manager or Supervisor, Academic Program Manager and Certified Medical Assistant Preceptor Gathers patient data through interview and observation under direct supervision Provides routine patient care under direct supervision, consistent with the educational level and skill learned in the academic setting Assists patients and families with preparation for examination under direct supervision Assists physician during examination and procedures under direct supervision Performs skills after achievement and demonstrated competencies Responsible for documenting information under direct supervision according to Orlando Health specific policies and guidelines Practices efficient use of supplies Receives and processes incoming calls and patient requests under direct supervision Maintains a safe and clean environment Assures patient privacy, rights and confidentiality Follows standard precautions and adheres to hand hygiene and PPE procedures Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.

Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures Qualifications Education / Training High school graduate or equivalent Currently enrolled in a Medical Assistant program affiliated with the organization Licensure / Certification Must obtain BLS / Healthcare Provider certification within 30 days of hire.
