  • Arizona or National Certification is required for Certified Medical Assistants.
  • Perform routine blood drawing procedures as applicable by licensure
  • Take and document vital signs, height and weight and assist with PPDs and EKGs as required
  • Assist with examinations and / or treatments as needed and report all changes in patients’ conditions
  • Assist with patient hygiene, ambulation, and dressing changes
  • Receive and route visitors and inquiries and issues to the appropriate staff
  • Transmit correspondence and medical records via mail, email or fax
  • Perform various clerical and administrative functions, including ordering and maintaining an inventory of supplies and sorting and distribute all mail and interoffice correspondence
  • Perform bookkeeping duties, such as preparation of expense reports and maintaining petty cash and receipts
  • Transmit and maintain all medical claims and all subpoenas and / or medical record requests as required
  • Assist with staff scheduling and coordinate all meetings
  • Prepare and maintain monthly reporting and statistical data as required
  • Gather and maintain documentation required for all accreditation surveys
  • Notify critical information to the next level of management that may have a negative impact on client and / or vendor relations or patient care

Summary :

Performs routine clinical and administrative duties in support of assigned area or office. Completes limited diagnostics x-rays.

Work Schedule : Full Time Days

Responsibilities :

Performs skilled clinical tasks and procedures, reports findings and documents outcomes. Manages patient flow from check in

through the discharge process. Collects patient health information according to clinic guidelines. Prepares patients and

rooms for exams and procedures.

Sets up equipment and supplies and assists with procedures as directed. Collects and processes laboratory specimens based

on written order. Collects blood samples, throat cultures, urine and stool samples, tracking results per guidelines. Performs

Point of Care testing.

Administers medications, injections and nebulizer treatments. Follows guidelines to document prescription refill requests.

Provides information to patients and families. Integrates safe body mechanics and patient transfer techniques. Performs

additional skills as delegated and verified by competency.

Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Essential :

  • Basic Life Support
  • ARRT Limited Scope
  • Other information : Minimum Required Education : High school diploma or GED. Medical Assistant program through an accredited school or program that meets the criteria of a medical assistant program such as military prepared corpsman or medic;

or Limited Scope X-Ray Tech program through an accredited school.

  • Required Licensure / Certification : Limited Scope X-ray Operator's certification from the State of Colorado. Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
  • Preferred : Medical Assistant certification or registration.
  • Minimum Experience : Completion of formal medical assistant or limited scope clinical program and 6 months of experience as a medical assistant and limited scope x-ray machine operator.

Preferred : 1 year Medical Assistant experience. 1 year experience as a limited scope x-ray operator.

BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date.

BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire. All life support certification cards must be issued by either the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer.

American Red Cross for the Professional Rescuer is only good upon hire and all renewals will need to be through an American Heart Association sanctioned course.)

The pay range for this position is : $20.870000 - $27.130000 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
