The Employbridge Search Group is excited to partner with our client to source and hire a Mechanical Engineer for their location in Chicago, IL .
The Mechanical Engineer will Create industrial machines for an OEM supplier utilizing machine design, project management, and Solid Works 3D CAD modeling skills.
Projects range from modifications of existing designs to custom solutions for customer needs. Produce a mechanical model, drawings, and bill of material package for production to build.
Responsibilities :
- LEAN design / Design for Manufacturing. Balance the quality and longevity of a design choice against the cost and time to make and / or purchase.
- Manufacturing Engineering. Develop manufacturing methods. Guide fabrication, machining, assembly, and operation of product designs.

Responsibilities :
- The Sr. Mechanical Reliability Engineer will develop engineering solutions for rotating and fixed equipment to improve the life cycle and equipment reliability.
- Implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Reliability Performance Indicators.
- Lead Failure Mode and Effects Analysis and other Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) efforts.
- Lead reliability programs and work closely with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering to prioritize and schedule work.
- Support the implementation of reliability efforts, mechanical integrity, PSM, and Safety Audit Action Items.
- Champion the Preventive and predictive (PM / PdM) Maintenance of plant equipment /

- The Mechanical Engineer shall provide technical support to the Infrastructure Engineering Center, for accomplishment of project engineering packages :
- Develop site specific project plans and specifications for solicitation and contracting of engineering projects for FAA approval and acceptance.

- Knowledge of Unstaffed Infrastructure Sustainment (UIS) facilities
- Knowledge of National Airspace System Equipment Tower (NASET), National Airspace System Equipment Building (NASEB), Heating Ventilating and Air Conditioning (HVAC), power, general building construction techniques, Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT), fire detection, security, site work.

Mechanical Engineer
PolyCon Solutions is seeking a Mechanical Engineer in Des Plaines, IL , to support our Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) client with designing, developing, and evaluating components and processes used in the power generation, manipulation, transmission, distribution, and storage of electricity.
Candidate must have the ability to travel up to 10% of the time
Responsibilities :
- Will perform all duties necessary to help produce complete design packages for the Terminal Replacement and Modernization Programs.
- Develop site-specific project engineering packages in accordance with national and FAA standards on assigned projects based on scoping documents.
- Produce engineering design drawings, detailed work plans, project material requirements, cost estimates, project schedules, and other items as required.
- Participate in site surveys to determine site requirements, operating parameters, site-specific issues, and assist with development and review of project scope.
- Ensure proper completion of all necessary drawings by providing markups and drawing specifications to the Computer Aided Engineering Graphics (CAEG) group.
- Provide mechanical engineering support to other designers to ensure quality and completeness of designs. Support will include, but is not be limited to, document review, consultations, and interpretation of requirements and regulations.

- Must maintain a site-specific project status for site preparation and equipment installation problems and answer contractor Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Assist in the preparation of change order scopes of work and estimates.
- Make periodic site visits to FAA facilities projects to inspect work in place and evaluate contractor progress, provide written punch list of noncompliant items, and perform an evaluation of project close out documentation and procedures.
- Verify that As-built drawings are correct and that manuals, spare parts, training, and monitoring services comply with contract requirements and advise the project team of mechanical engineering concerns throughout construction.
Required Qualifications :
- Bachelors' Degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical Engineering) and 4 - 8 years of prior relevant experience OR Master's Degree with 2 - 6 years of prior relevant experience or equivalent.
- Competent with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Capable of learning and applying Corporate Work Plan (CWP) applications, KSN (Knowledge Service Network), Project Wise database and can use the Internet as a data gathering and communicating tool.
