Description
- The purpose of this position is to test and troubleshoot Electronic Assemblies to board and component level if needed
- Acting as the primary Manufacturing liaison with Customers and Engineering Department during intensive customer witnessed Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
- Design and implement circuit changes for obsolete components.
- Design and build test fixtures for new and existing products as required.
- Create / administer schedules based on current production requirements (production orders, sales orders, shop orders, RMAs).
- Generate databases / tracking mechanisms to ensure test data is accurately archived, searchable and retrievable.
- Identification and procurement of proper tools for safe and efficient assembly and testing of products.
- Document and correct deficiencies identified during development and testing processes.
- Identify material shortages and material issues and address with the materials group to fulfill shortages or to expedite more / new material.
Skills : Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- AS degree in Electronics, Electronics Test Certification or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in digital and analog circuit trouble shooting to component level
- The ability to understand technical documentation, drawings, wiring charts and operating instructions
- Excellent soldering / wiring skills
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment
- Detailed oriented, organized, always keeping Safety First
- Good verbal and written communicator
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Must be a good listener, paying attention to details
- Self-sufficient in performing all duties
- Ability to generate and review technical drawings, procedures and bills of material.
- Experience with common electronic tools-oscilloscope, multimeter, etc.

Cyient is hiring for an experienced Mechanical Engineer, ideally with experience in Automated People Mover (ADM) train systems.
You will design systems and products related to the ADMs, create design packages and provide technical expertise to design and production teams.

The Design Engineering Unit supports the Control Drive Mechanism Test Facility, the Large Component Test Facility, and Pump and Component Quiet Test Loop, which perform high pressure / high temperature testing, mechanism testing, pump testing, steam testing and more.
The successful candidate would perform fluid-mechanical system and hardware design, ASME code calculations, piping flow and flexibility analyses, equipment selection and procurement, as well as oversee testing systems within the Laboratories.

Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill
