As a Copywriter on Western Digital’s Product Marketing team, your primary responsibility will be to develop content and copy for consumer-focused marketing initiatives.

By collaborating with the team, you will create strategic and creative concepts that motivate the target audience and help sales teams achieve their goals.

You must feel comfortable writing for a variety of mediums, including print, digital, social, paid ads, and more. As part of your role, you will apply best practices within copy across mediums, ensuring that all content adheres to SEO standards for digital.

Working in a fast-paced environment, you will be expected to produce quality work with a short turnaround time, managing one-off tasks and long-term projects.

You will work closely with the creative team to write, edit, and review within the style guide, exploring and problem-solving independently to produce relevant copy both at a single instance and system level.

Joining the Product Marketing team means working alongside other creative professionals, including designers, marketing managers, content strategists, and product managers.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Support the evolution of product marketing strategies, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Support the strategic development of marketing campaigns, considering new and innovative ways to promote products and engage target audiences.
  • Ensure all marketing content is aligned with the brand's identity, including tone, voice, and visual aesthetic.
  • Create strategies to enhance audience engagement with the brand, fostering brand loyalty and advocacy.
  • Harness the power of storytelling in shaping and promoting the product narratives across various marketing channels.

Qualifications

3-5 years of experience in advertising, copywriting, editorial or public relations

Understanding of how to write concise, branded content for consumer retail, e-commerce, digital marketing and video and the varying parameters each medium requires

Ability to interpret briefs, take direction and execute

Comfort collaborating in a large, matrixed cross-functional organization

Compelling presentation skills

Fluency in Microsoft Office
