WHAT YOU’LL DO

Responsible for the activities related to Manufacturing Information Technology (IT) in the across the Rapid Diagnostic Manufacturing sites.

Responsible for the definition, development, maintenance and operation, systems, as well as for maintaining the area s technological level up to date, conducting studies and implementing new procedures and techniques.

In conjunction with internal and external business and technology partners, lead in setting the Manufacturing IT strategy and vision to meet business objectives.

The role manages the daily operations and performance of the IT Manufacturing teams

Provides demand management, forecast, prioritization, and capacity of work in alignment with the business and vendor response to demand.

Coordinate services, projects, and plans within domain to ensure priorities are addressed appropriately

Management of IT Operational staff ensuring appropriate capacity, work assignment, and performance management

Management review, metrics management and reporting.

Ensure compliance with Company policies, procedures and quality requirements including exception reporting and resolution

Responsible for audit readiness, audit findings resolution, and Non-Conformance resolution

Rotating on call to address urgent production issues. Establish on call schedule across the team.

Responsible for effective incident management, problem management, and change management of plant applications

Establish metric / performance reporting; track performance and ensure viability of service levels

Plan and execute disaster recovery plans

Define and implement service level reporting

Own vendor relationship including analyze vendor performance and manage support level changes as needed.

Provides demand management and prioritization of work in alignment with the business and vendor response to demand

Assists with the preparation and monitoring of corresponding IT budgets

Education :

Minimum 4 year degree and / or 8 years in a comparable role in IT function.

Experience / Training Required :

Must have had prior experience with CAPA management, Quality System management, strong root cause analysis capabilities, ability to identify improvement opportunities, build business cases and drive improvement projects to resolution as agreed.

Familiarity with document management practices. Prior experience as a SQA or management of an operational team within an IT project environment.

Experience with Software Lifecycle management, IT Change Management and Controls practices, reporting and senior management-level engagement.

Understanding of infrastructure related frameworks, processes and practices (e.g. ITIL, GAMP).

Experience managing suppliers and running IT operations

Project management Experience

Ability to accomplish results through others, particularly by establishing relationships, effective controls and monitoring processes

Experience in root cause analysis and problem resolution skills

Proven negotiation and influencing skills

Strong collaboration and partnering skills

The Manufacturing Engineer will help coordinate and assist with production welding projects within Manufacturing Technology.

Projects may vary from welding procedure development, equipment set-up and programming, quality improvement, cost reduction, and specification of Capital Expense equipment purchases.

This position is for a self-motivated, goal-driven engineer who displays an aptitude in many aspects of manufacturing and welding technology and an ability to successfully manage projects to completion.

The job requires an ability to develop project plans and communicate effectively throughout implementation. This person will report to Leadership within Manufacturing Engineering.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following :

Support and lead projects in the welding fabrication processes using the latest industry techniques to ensure processes are safe, efficient, and effective.

Use concepts that incorporate Lean, 5-S and flow line concepts.

  • Perform hands-on welding procedure development using procedure testing practices, visual, NDT, and destructive testing methods.
  • Provide written welding procedure specifications and documents, including WPS, quality control documents, and work instructions.
  • Perform set-up and programming of Automated welding process equipment including robotic welders. Ability to learn Cloos and Fanuc controller programming and functionality.
  • Updating files and programs that support manufacturing processes because of design engineering changes, including routings, BOM’s, prints and machine programs.
  • Actively lead teams in problem solving to drive results and improvements through the use of structural team problem solving techniques such as A3 and Four-Step Problem Solving.
