Description

SAIC is seeking a Logistics Manager to support the Space Systems Command (SSC) Innovation and Prototyping Directorate through the Engineering, Development, Integration, and Sustainment (EDIS) contract.

We work with SSC to modernize satellite ground systems for United States Space Force (USSF) operations, research and development and demonstration missions to develop, deploy, modernize, and expand the EDIS program and its customers.

The position is located in Albuquerque, NM.

Primary duties are :

  • Oversee logistics related tasks for the program at multiple locations. Tasks include asset management, budgeting, software management, material management, material disposition, information management and transportation.
  • Lead team personnel and training of all program personnel on logistics processes and procedures
  • Lead team through inventory audits and property management exercises
  • Lead team in accomplishing daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly direction setting
  • Interface and coordinate current and future logistics requirements with US government and program personnel and developing and evaluating life cycle strategies for operational systems and future upgrades, developing and evaluating recommended organizational level spares required to sustain operational readiness
  • Assist the customer management staff with identifying maintenance and equipment manuals required to support maintenance objectives and concepts, and making recommendations to customers regarding the development of support requirements for the EDIS program
  • Execute and continuously improve logistics processes, such as the replenishment system, data interchange systems, demand management, electronic data systems administration, and related functions
  • Provide a consolidated logistics schedule, including schedules for all programs within the portfolio, and update as required
  • Provide oversight to identify, plan, resource, finance, and implement management actions to acquire repair parts, spares, and all classes of supply in financial resourcing

Qualifications

  • Must possess an active DoD Secret or DOE L security clearance with ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret / SCI
  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business, or related field with 14+ years of experience in Logistics or related acquisition support for Department of Defense systems.

Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree

  • Strong background in Microsoft Office product suites : Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio
  • Good understanding of FAR, DFARS, DoD and USAF directives for asset management, contract management, and procurement
  • Ability to provide high level summary of results and draw conclusions based on interpretation of data

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Master's Degree with 12+ years of related experience
  • Experience with CostPoint, Raytheon EAGLE / MMIS, Defense Property Accounting System (DPAS) preferred

Position Summary :
