Compensation : $22.00-$25.00 Hourly

Position Responsibilities :
The Logistics Coordinator key responsibilities are to manage asset utilization and drivers to ensure a high delivery of customer service and fleet profitability.
Additionally, the Logistics Coordinator assists, coaches and mentors drivers with all training and administrative items.
Responsibilities
Essential job requirements may include, but not limited to :
- Build and match planned freight to day cabs or condo trucks and drivers. In a dedicated training environment, this will include planning to coordinate trainers and trainees needs for hours and home time.
- Review PTAs and driver’s requests for time off or home time in planning loads for same-day or next-day dispatching. Schedule work and assign tasks to drivers.
- Coordinate with others in the department for awareness of driver, freight, and asset availability. Identify concerns with drivers who may need additional support, coaching, or disciplinary action to supervisors and managers.
- Coordinate with Maintenance on trucks out of service or returning to service to plan and dispatch accordingly.
- When available from customers, plan for future freight.
- Track drivers, loads and receivers to ensure dispatching is able to continue to run as planned.
- In a Dedicated environment, coordinate backhauls to meet customer’s needs and keep freight, trucks, and trailers moving consistently.
- Maintain frequent contact with assigned drivers, monitoring call-offs, fatigue concerns and equipment issues. In a dedicated training environment, also includes ensuring trainees are working appropriately to next phase of training and placement.
- With team drivers, ensuring loads assigned are appropriate for teams and hours available.
- Monitor Hours of Service for dispatching and compliance.
- In a dedicated training environment, efforts should be focused on routing trucks or drivers (solo) with capacity to a terminal for better efficiency.
- Handle urgent situations such as the need to recover truck, freight, or driver, traffic, weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances that may prevent on-time delivery.
- Assist in orienting new drivers to fleets / accounts on proper ways to communicate, report to work, and other scheduling expectations.
- Work with drivers who have unique scheduling needs or issues that arise. Ensure coordination with supervisors and managers for special items such as leaves of absence, extended time off requests or concerns about meeting expectations.
Qualifications
Job qualifications may include, but not limited to :
- Ability to work with office equipment, utilizing computers for majority of tasks and must be familiar with Microsoft Office suite of programs.
- Proficient with Excel and other reporting capabilities.
- Excellent inter-personal skills with drivers, other personnel, customers, and management.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Physical Requirements :
- Capable of hearing, with our without correction, sufficiently to perceive normal speaking levels and receive detailed information through oral communication in order to facilitate meetings and work with internal customers and stakeholders by telephone and in person.
- Position may involve kneeling, stooping, bending, pushing, lifting, carrying and moving objects that can weigh up to 25 pounds.
- Capable of working extended hours, to include weekends, holidays and various shifts (to include evening and night shifts) as necessary.
- Capable of sitting at a desk for extended periods of time and working with computer equipment.
- Capable of speaking, writing, and reading English well and possessing a good command of the language so that various types of communications may be conducted in English with people of various levels of education and capabilities.
- Capable of visual acuity, with or without correction, sufficient to prepare and analyze data and figures, view a computer terminal, and read extensively.
Education and Experience :
- College degree preferred but combination of college work and experience will be considered.
- Prior logistical or planning experienced needed.
- Transportation or logistics industry experience preferred.
- Strong geographical knowledge with expertise in time and distance requirements as it pertains to Department.
- Transportation regulations is needed.
- High school diploma or GED required.
Working Environment and Conditions :
- Must have the ability to work on more than one assignment at a time with frequent interruptions, changes and / or delays.
- Must be able to remain focused and work effectively, efficiently, and cheerfully under such circumstances.
- Must be able to handle incoming requests for assistance via phone and in person while working on other tasks.
- Must remain professional in light of challenging situations that may occur in the location.
- May be required to work in customer location. Must follow customer rules and requirements in areas such as dress code, access, hours, etc.

South Platte Renew (SPR) is the 3rd largest water resource recovery facility (WRRF) in Colorado and cleans nearly 20 million gallons of wastewater a day.
SPR is publicly owned by the Cities of Littleton and Englewood and serves approximately 300,000 residents in Littleton, Englewood and 19 other connecting communities.
The Operations and Maintenance Division of SPR is recruiting a Logistics Lead to manage inventory and warehousing, and support the Asset Management program at SPR.
The Position
South Platte Renew is looking for a Logistics Lead who is detail oriented, collaborative and able to serve many different internal customers.
This position will coordinate inventory and parts ordering for Operations, Beneficial Use, Process Maintenance and Facilities Maintenance and also serve as a liaison between O&M and Engineering (Asset Management).
The position will participate as a member of the asset management program at SPR, as well as participate in projections and tracking of the O&M budget.
The selected candidate will have the opportunity to keep track of and inventory over 2,400 parts and materials.
The position will also draft Requests for Proposals for certain services and capital project needs and participate in preparation of Supervisory Committee communications for recommended contract awards.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, exhibit high standards, have excellent communication skills, and effectively prioritize tasks support the Operations and Maintenance and Engineering divisions.
The individual will have experience in purchasing, procurement and inventory management.
You will have the opportunity to :
- Develop best practices and metrics for inventory control
- Work with several different groups on a regular basis, supporting the needs of Operations, Maintenance and Engineering.
- Participate in the planning and implementation SPR’s asset management program.
- Interact with and manage established analytical software to help make data-driven decisions, including Computerized Maintenance Management Systems and Information Management Systems.
Coordinate with other City departments and government agencies for improvements to serve the community.

POSITION SUMMARY

PREPARATION AND TRAINING
Education : Associates degree in one of several applicable majors, including business administration and supply chain management where topics ranging from logistics to productivity are covered.
Bachelor’s of Science degree is preferred.
Work Experience :
- One (1) year of experience in inventory / warehouse management.
- One (1) year experience working with Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) or other computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Experience with water and wastewater treatment facility preferred.
Certifications and / or Licensures :
- Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) designation (preferred)
- Institute of Asset Management (IAM) Foundations (preferred)
Required Driver’s License : Valid Colorado driver’s license and a clear or acceptable MVR.
An equivalent combination of education, training and relevant job experience may be substituted.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed in both an office and field setting and requires extensive sitting, walking, carrying, lifting, kneeling, bending, reaching, and squatting.
However, will include work in an industrial wastewater treatment facility where noise, irritants, dust, dirt, bacteria, hazardous chemicals / air / materials and fumes are present.
- Work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions and over all types of terrain. May be exposed to risks typically associated with working around water, chemicals, electricity and other man-made and natural hazards.
- Full range of body movements including stooping, twisting, kneeling, bending, leaning, reaching, climbing (heights), stretching and working in awkward positions.
May stand for extended periods of time. Occasional light lifting (up to 50 lbs.).
Vision is needed for reading, computer input, recording, and interpreting information such as blueprints and plans; speech and hearing are used to communicate with other employees over the telephone, radio and in person.
Work on computers and associated equipment for prolonged periods of time (4-6 hours daily).

Supervisory Duties & Responsibilities :
- Organizes and coordinates activities and staff schedules, ensuring fulfillment goals are met and that shipments are timely, accurate, and undamaged.
- Select, train, motivate, and evaluate assigned personnel

- Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.

Job Duties & Responsibilities :
- Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide effective logistics services.
- Establishes performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the logistics functions.
- Develops and maintains detailed inventories of materials and supplies located in the company, at off-site warehouses, and in the factory.
- Manage the loading of trucks, setting up delivery routes, and unloading of materials.
- Establish and maintain communication with suppliers, custom brokers, carriers, and others involved in the shipping and delivery of merchandise.
- Ensure that goods are shipped and delivered in a timely manner
- Overseeing transportation of goods from one warehouse location to another, ensuring it arrives safely and on time.
- Arrange product pickups and deliveries with transportation companies as well as route drivers accordingly.
- Communicate with trucking companies, warehouse supervisors, custom brokers, sales forces, and customers.
- Ensure that all parties work together to guarantee that shipments are packed, sent and delivered in a timely manner and that all required documentation is completed and submitted correctly (EEI filings, etc.)
- Assesses the need for material-handling equipment and staffing; makes recommendations to ensure efficient loading, unloading, movement, and storage of materials.
- Monitor storeroom and warehouse material usage
- Provide assistance in warehouse space utilization by designing facility layouts to achieve maximum storage efficiency
- Assist with budget preparation and administration
- Conduct cost analysis of several transportation companies in order to select a more cost effective option, and are also able to manage the reception and storage of shipment.
- Coordinate warehousing and storeroom activities with outside agencies and organizations
- Collaborates with managers and other departments to develop and modify materials handling processes and procedures.
- Implement appropriate safety guidelines and investigate injuries or unsafe conditions
- Ensures safe operation of equipment used to move and transport materials to and from the storage areas of the facility.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills / Abilities :

Education and Experience :

- 5 years of experience with logistics, material handling, warehouse and / or inventory setting.
- 3 years of experience in a related area with some supervisory experience.
Physical Requirements :
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Specialist to join our rapidly growing team here in Louisville, Colorado. The Logistics Specialist will be responsible for receiving goods, preparing them for production, and packing them for distribution.
RESPONSIBILITIES : Manage all inventory (COTS, piece part, & consumables) across H3X Assist with new and repeat procurement Manage all kitting for production and prototype builds Receive, verify, and stock incoming materials and products Prepare and pack items for shipment Troubleshoot delivery issues and maintain relationships with transportation providers REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS : High school diploma or equivalent (a higher level degree may substitute for experience) At least 5 years of experience in a logistics position Experience with computerized inventory databases Familiarity with Inventory and Supply Chain / Logistics principles and techniques Ability to operate a forklift Experience with shipping databases, such as FedEx, DHL, UPS, etc.
