In the Legal Counsel II role you will provide legal support for RWE Clean Energy's renewable energy business teams in connection with our dealings in the development, construction and operation of wind, solar & battery storage renewable energy projects.
Responsibilities :
- This person will be focused on the provision of procurement and construction legal advice in connection with renewable energy project development, construction and operations in all technologies (onshore, solar, battery storage)
- Draft and negotiate construction and procurement contracts, such as turbine supply agreements, balance plant agreements, EPC(I) & turnkey contracts, purchase agreements for components, O&M agreements, service agreements as well as logistic and transportation contracts, associated exhibits and ancillary documents
- Provide legal support on HSE, R&D, IP, IT and insurance matters
- Anticipate and mitigate potential legal problems within the organization and develop strategies to avoid costly litigation and reduce potential areas of risk
- Collaborate with a variety of business stakeholders, including procurement, construction, tax, credit, accounts payable, accounting
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 5 years experience required, working on complex construction projects or related procurement in a law firm or a in-house at a large company
- Licensed, to practice law in New York, Illinois or Texas required
- Legal knowledge and experience in construction work, in the field of renewable energy, highly preferred
- Ability to demonstrate practical, rather than theoretical focus on legal issues with a view to finding viable business solutions for those legal issues
- Outstanding commercial, technical and strategic understanding
Pay range : The annual base salary range for this position in New York is $129,888 - $194,832. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join our team. In this role, you will provide assistance to multiple attorneys, providing support and ensuring they are able to carry out their duties.
