Essential Job Functions
Train, schedule, coach and support associates, ensuring they perform in accordance with established brand or hotel standards and consistent with HHM core values.
Screen job applicants, and hire new employees (in the event housekeeping associates are HHM employees.)
Train staff to clean rooms in an efficient manner according to established standards or partner with external vendor to ensure staff is trained properly.
- Be aware of and communicate guest service scores to drive improvement and higher guest satisfaction.
- Issue cleaning supplies and equipment to associates.
- On occasion, clean rooms or assist staff with cleaning rooms.
- Address associate performance and behavior concerns by either direct intervention with HHM associates or through vendor.
- Supervise laundry employees, if applicable.
- Prepare work schedules for HHM associates or provide vendor with anticipated occupancy to ensure proper staffing levels.
- Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program.
- Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.

- Assist in the breakfast area as needed.
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
Position Requirements
- High School diploma preferred.
- Previous housekeeping experience or equivalent training required.
- Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.

Job Description
- Coordinate staffing schedules to ensure the proper cleaning of offices, public spaces, and residential apartments.
- Use cleaning chemicals safely and properly in accordance with department guidelines and assure compliance with local, state, and federal safety standards, MSDS, OSHA, EPA and other relevant rules and regulations.
- Coordinate the annual deep cleaning program for apartments.
- Schedule the preparation of apartments for move-ins.
- Conduct inspection of offices, common space, guestrooms, and residential apartments.
- Maintain inventory control systems for all supplies, chemicals, and equipment.
- Inform Executive Director of any resident issues or concerns.
- Develop and monitor the housekeeping department budget.
- Prepare resident charges / billing for housekeeping services when applicable.
- May, in consultation with the Executive Director, hire, train, discipline and terminates department employees in accordance with Senior Lifestyle Corporation’s human services policy.
- Participate in the Manager on Duty program.
- Attend all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.
- Ensure that all company uniform and grooming standards for the department are followed.
- Strive to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers.

Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or one to three years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- You need to be able to communicate clearly and effectively in English.
- You possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- You have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- You can maintain a positive and friendly demeanor toward the residents and your co-workers.

POSITION SUMMARY :
Under the direction of the Director of Housekeeping, the Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning resident rooms and other interior and exterior facility areas and assisting in maintaining a clean and attractive environment for the residents.
The person holding this position is delegated the responsibility for carrying out the assigned duties and responsibilities in accordance with current existing federal and state regulations and established company policies and procedures.
Reports to work as scheduled. Attends all mandatory in-services by employee’s anniversary date
Complies with all facility policies and procedures
Acts appropriately under the direction of the Director of Housekeeping and acts as a part of the interdisciplinary team
Cleans and straightens (including vacuuming, wiping, moping, polishing, etc.) rooms, offices, and common areas; polish and remove items;
ensure resident’s rooms are safe, comfortable and maintained in an attractive manner
Demonstrates ability to adjust to changes in shift assignments to meet facility needs
Cleans and sanitizes areas of responsibility according to facility policy and procedure
Moves and arranges residents furniture and equipment as directed by the supervisor
Cleans residents dining areas at the completion of meal service and adheres to weekly cleaning schedule of the dining area
Cleans and sanitizes resident bathrooms and common bath areas
Cleans and maintains windows and wall in resident rooms and common areas
Complies with weekly departmental cleaning schedule
Adheres to all cleaning chemical hazards as indicated on supplies
Observes rules of sanitation at all times
Demonstrates knowledge of and complies with the Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program when performing work functions

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE :
Possess a high school diploma or sufficient knowledge and education to perform job functions

Position Summary : The Housekeeping Aide insures that the center is maintained in a clean and sanitary condition at all times to provide for care and welfare of the customers in a healthful environment.
In addition, he / she insures that good housekeeping services are performed in every department of the center and are planned in cooperation with the department head.
Responsibilities / Accountabilities :
- 1. Follows specific cleaning and service instructions as outlined by the director of environmental services;
- 2. Follows cleaning procedures in a safe manner;
- 3. Completes all assignments scheduled in each unit;
- 4. Gives an assigned unit the attention needed to provide a sanitary, odor free, orderly environment for all concerns;
- 5. Checks stock and notifies supervisor of supply needs;
- 6. Maintains equipment in good working condition and returns it to proper location after use;
- 7. Assists with room changes, as needed;
- 8. Puts Customer Service First : Ensures that customers and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals’ needs and rights;
9. Performs other duties as requested.
Specific Educational / Vocational Requirements :
1. High school degree or equivalent is preferred.
2. Must be able to read, write and understand the English language.
