As a Housekeeper, you will be cleaning villas for arriving guests and servicing villas for guests during their stay. Your responsibilities will also include, but are not limited to, responding to guest's requests, stocking carts with supplies needed for cleaning guest rooms and replacing amenities.
To ensure we are providing the best services to our guests, as a Housekeeper, your duties will entail guaranteeing consistently high quality room services.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
- Respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments.
- Fill cart with supplies and transport cart to assigned area.
- Enter guest rooms following procedures for gaining access and ensuring vacancy before entering.
- Replace guest amenities and supplies in rooms.
- Replace dirty linens and terry with clean items.
- Make beds and fold terry.
- Clean bathrooms.
- Remove trash, dirty linen, and room service items.
- Check that all appliances are present in the room and in working order.
- Straighten desk items, furniture, and appliances.
- Dust, polish, and remove marks from walls and furnishings.
- Vacuum carpets in guest rooms and hallway.
- Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries;
complete safety training and certifications; properly store flammable materials.
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests' service needs; assist individuals with disabilities;
thank guests with genuine appreciation.
- Speak with others using clear and professional language.
- Support team to reach common goals.
- Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.
- Attention to customer service with a professional and pleasant personality.
- Available to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Housekeeper
Performs any combination of tasks to maintain the medical center in a clean and orderly manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensures that center is kept clean and orderly at all times.
- Replenishes supplies in all rest rooms and lunch room.
- Maintains lobbies, rest rooms, corridors, etc. in an orderly and clean manner.
- Empties wastebaskets periodically and transports trash and waste to disposal area.
- Assists in storing supplies when they arrive.
- Cleans all accidents following OSHA standards.
- Maintains the employee lunchroom in a clean and neat manner.
- Dust plants and furniture.
- Cleans exam room tables and equipment on a weekly basis.
- Cleans walls, glass doors and windows.
- Informs Center Administrator and / or Maintenance Worker when walls need to be painted.
- Verifies shipment order against actual invoice and notifies administration upon any discrepancies.
- Renders personal assistance to members and visitors.
- Wears a complete uniform and keeps a clean neat appearance during working hours.
- Participates in weekly line-ups.
- Participates in training and in-service education as required.
- Participates in department and center meetings as requested.
- Follows established lines of communication, and demonstrates courtesy and politeness to patients, visitors and other employees.
- Complies with LMC’s infection control policies and procedures including body substance isolation and the Exposure Control Plan, which reflects OHSA Bloodborne Pathogen standard to ensure a safe working environment for self and others.
- Complies with Leon Medical Centers’ policies and procedures and maintains confidentiality in accordance with state and federal laws.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully an individual must be patient in dealing with an elderly population and sympathetic to hearing or vision deficiencies.
Employee must be able to work effectively in a team environment. Must have excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent listening skills.
Must be highly organized and detail oriented.
EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent work experience preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Fluent in English and Spanish preferred.

Overview :
The Housekeeper will perform any combination of cleaning duties to maintain the cleanliness of guest's rooms in an orderly manner.
Duties may include making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning rooms and halls, and vacuuming.
Key Duties & Responsibilities :
- Carry linens, towels, toilet items, and cleaning supplies, using wheeled carts.
- Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas so that health standards are met.
- Empty wastebaskets, empty and clean ashtrays, and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas.
- Replenish supplies, such as drinking glasses, linens, writing supplies, and bathroom items.
- Keep storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy.
- Dust and polish furniture and equipment.
- Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, using vacuum cleaners and shampooers.
- Wash windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork, waxing and polishing as necessary.
- Hang draperies and dust window blinds.
- Observe precautions required to protect hotel and guest property and report damage, theft, and found articles to supervisors.
- Remove debris from driveways, garages, and swimming pool areas.
- Sort, count, and mark clean linens and store them in linen closets.
Education and Experience :
- Some High School education preferred.
