Job Summary

As an integral and highly visible member of the Hospitality Investment team, the Acquisitions Analyst will assist with operations analysis, financing, financial forecasting, acquisition underwriting and due diligence, disposition, 3rd party management underwriting and asset management assignments.

Your Impact and Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the team to build and adapt financial models to analyze investment opportunities for potential hotel acquisitions whilst conducting market research, making recommendations for strategy, and preparing Investment Committee presentations.
  • Create and modify cash flow projection models, prepare property and portfolio level financial scenarios, and prepare hotel valuation models.
  • Maintain Waterton’s focus on the external market by conducting ongoing research of the hotel industry to detect market trends and related information for analysis in defining investment strategies and make recommendations based upon analysis.
  • Prepare investor reporting information required for annual budgets and strategic business plans for specified investors including hold / sell, disposition and refinancing analyses.
  • Prepare quarterly asset management reports for specified investors.
  • Keep all stakeholders informed of progress, including regular presentations to the firm’s investment committee on status, potential and analysis of all prospects.
  • Establish and maintain good relations with all customers, investors, and co-workers.
  • Embrace the Waterton Way and help create and deliver departmental and organizational goals, including sharing best practices on process improvement, refining, and introducing new Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).

What You’ll Bring- Desired Skills and Experience

  • Ideally a minimum of 1+ years of experience in hospitality acquisitions and dispositions or related field.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in hospitality or real estate.
  • Financial acumen and experience financial modeling potential deals and translating it to key stakeholders in a compelling and effective manner.
  • Adept at building relationships, you understand how to employ and navigate a variety of communication strategies to make an impact, achieve goals, and keep all key stakeholders informed throughout the process.
  • Creativity and initiative to challenge the status quo and meet the investment goals while balancing a long-term view on market conditions and opportunities.
  • Advanced skillset in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Ability to adapt as the situation warrants, and you are able to focus on multiple deadlines and change as the demands and fast pace requires.

You also possess very strong project management skills, juggling big and small tasks alike.

This position requires travel up to 20% of the time, sometimes with shorter than average notice.

The Hospitality Lead position provides White Glove customer service and is responsible for taking care of all client meetings, events, and hospitality tasks at a client location.

Responsibilities

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift or move 40 lbs.

Qualifications / Skills :

  • Demonstrated financial acumen; P&L accountability and / or contract-managed service experience
  • Must possess strong knowledge of food and wine for menu development.

  • Solid and proven track record for sales and leadership success.
