PRIMARY PURPOSE :

As a Front Desk Representative, you will welcome our guests, and by understanding their unique stories and needs, you will own the experience to create WOW moments and memories they will carry with them far beyond their stay with us.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Welcome guests to the property and the MGM Resorts family by providing memorable service, anticipating guest needs and responding to and resolving any guest complaints in alignment with Service Basics
  • Deliver a seamless and professional experience managing early and late property arrivals / departures and walk-ins and all other tasks associated with guest room check-ins and check-outs
  • Enhance guest experience through offering upgraded accommodations where available in accordance with authorized programs and processes and promoting M life enrollment and benefits to our guests
  • Partner with Housekeeping and other related departments to meet guest expectations and special requests
  • Ensure correct charges and credits are posted, collect payments, handle cash and credit transactions, and demonstrate responsibility in balancing all cash and cash equivalent transactions using property cash handling procedures
  • Control and issue keys while promoting security, privacy, and confidentiality of all guests while providing a relaxing and hassle-free experience from start to finish
  • Perform other job-related duties as requested

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :

  • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
  • Perception and awareness of individual needs and the ability to handle all situations calmly and professionally
  • Proficiency of computer software to include Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as office equipment, telephone, copier, fax machine
  • Excellent organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints and within established deadlines, with particular attention to detail
  • Effective listening abilities with strong judgment skills
  • Knowledge of accommodations room capacities and amenities
  • Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
  • Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to company standards

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays

  • One (1) year face to face guest service experience

The Front Desk Representative is the first line of contact for members and guests. They deliver the Ultimate Service Promise by providing superior customer service while assisting members with purchases and directing membership inquiries.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

Front Desk Customer Service

  • Warmly greets members and guests as they enter and leave the club.
  • Answers incoming calls in a professional and efficient manner and transfers phone calls promptly and to the right department or individuals.

ORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPS : The Front Desk Representative reports to the Front Desk Lead and Operations Manager. This position may interact with all levels of management and staff within Corporate and Field offices, in the clubs, and within the Front Desk Representative team.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :

1) Knowledge, skills & abilities :

  • Must be energetic and possess a very friendly, outgoing personality and positive attitude
  • Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, including telephone etiquette
  • Possess a strong customer service focus
  • Understands and follows oral and written instructions
  • Able to multi-task and perform tasks with accuracy and attention to detail
