Job Description
Flight Attendants are the face of Mesa Airlines. As such, they must be reliable and punctual with devotion to providing excellent customer service at all times.
The position requires Flight Attendants to maintain a positive, approachable, and accommodating attitude while delivering extraordinary customer service.
A successful Flight Attendant must have in-depth knowledge of all safety procedures, service standards, and company policies and procedures.
Essential Functions
- Provide constant attention to our customers, providing them with a safe and reliable onboard experience
- Greet passengers, monitor carry-on baggage, and direct passengers to assigned seats
- Ability to remain positive, respectful, and understanding during challenging situations and passenger conflict
- Maintain physical health and professional appearance standards
- Maintain a thorough working knowledge of all emergency procedures and the ability to operate all emergency equipment onboard the aircraft
- Explain the use of safety equipment to passengers in a clear, concise manner
- Serve beverages, snacks, and meals where applicable
- Assist passengers in storing carry-on luggage in the overhead or under-seat storage
- Inform passengers of Federal Aviation Regulations
- Perform duties required to assist with inflight medical emergencies and special needs passengers, i.e., unaccompanied minors, visual or hearing impaired, language impaired, elderly, physically challenged, etc.
- Abide by policies outlined in the Code of Conduct, Employee Handbook, Flight Attendant Manual, and Code Share Partner standards

Compensation
Starting pay for Flight Attendants is $17.94 per flight hour, increasing to $19.45 after six months and $21.35 after 12 months, with annual increases after that.
Flight hours will be discussed during an information session if you are to move forward in the application process. The average earnings for a Flight Attendant in the first year of employment are approximately $22,000.
Other Compensation Opportunities :
Flight attendants have numerous ways to earn extra monthly income, including a crash-pad assistance program. Additionally, when Flight Attendants elect not to stay in company-provided hotel accommodations, Mesa Airlines will pay a portion of the hotel cost to the Flight Attendant.
A Flight Attendant can earn an additional $500 monthly ($6,000 annually) utilizing other compensation opportunities.

The Flight Lead will :

Essential Responsibilities :
- Provide client support with flight plans and flight planning issues.
- Onboard new clients.
- Converse with clients to determine destination, mode of transportation, travel dates, financial considerations, and accommodations required.
- Identify all issues and challenges, consult, and advise client, offer solutions and options for successful flight operations.
- Conduct research to identify information on trip requirements.

Qualifications :

- You will serve as a flight resource to neonatal / pediatric personnel when transporting specialty patients by helicopter.
Performs advanced skills and procedures as approved by HCA Houston Healthcare AirLife Medical Director(s).
- You will participates in the Transport Performance Improvement Process.
- You will practice as an RN as defined by assigned state scope of practice and advanced practice skills as defined by Medical Director(s) and Medical Standards.
What qualifications you will need :
- 3 year of experience recent critical care / emergency nursing experience within the last five (5) years or as required by state / local EMS regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in health-related field preferred.
- Current American Heart Association BLS Certification is required.
- Current American Heart Association ACLS Certification is required
- Previous Flight experience preferred
- Ability to work flexible schedule including 24 shifts, overtime and on-call rotation
Advance trauma course : one (1) of the following is acceptable : ATLS / ATCN, TNATC or CAMTS-approvedadvanced trauma course prior to completion of third rider orientation.
Please note advanced skills lab must accompany all of the above mentioned advanced trauma courses).
NIMS Training IS 100, 200, 700, 800 and HazMat upon hire
NRP certification prior to completion of third rider orientation. National neo-nat resuscitation
Specialty certification : (CFRN, CCRN or CEN) required within two (2) years of hire.
EMS or MICN certification / licensure as required by state regulations. MOBILE INTESIVE CARE NURSE
Pre-hospital experience preferred.
Dependable and self-motivated while working in a frequently changing environment.
