Primary Job Duties
The primary role of a SkyWest Flight Attendant is to ensure the safety of our passengers while they are onboard our aircraft.
Important responsibilities also include caring for our passengers and offering exceptional customer service while serving meals and drinks.

Minimum Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalency required
- Prior to attending training, applicant must be in possession of a current, valid U.S or foreign passport and any applicable visas necessary to travel freely between the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Bahamas
- Excellent English communication skills required to provide safety information to passengers and write clear, factual, and detailed reports pertaining to irregular, emergency, and security events
- Comfortable utilizing basic functions of electronic devices and PEDs to operate audio and video systems, collect and track in-flight purchases, and perform other flight and training duties
- Willing to work varied shifts up to 16 hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Able to travel frequently and spend lengthy periods of time alone and without supervision

Physical and Other Requirements
Height and weight must allow for safe operation of the aircraft and may not exceed specific aircraft dimensions (for example, must be able to sit in jump seat and fasten the harness, move throughout the cabin aisle, and operate emergency exits).
For your safety, your height must be between 5’0 to 6’0 without shoes
- Must be physically able to perform tasks that require frequent walking, bending below ankle level and reaching above shoulder level;
- open emergency exits and close aircraft doors weighing up to 45 pounds; push and pull beverage cart weighing up to 250 pounds;
and lift, store, transport and reach for items with or without reasonable accommodation
- Corrected vision should not exceed 20 / 40
- Normal or corrected hearing range within 15-17kHZ
- Overall appearance must be professional, neat and clean
- No extreme hair styles or colors are permitted
- Single stud nose piercing 2mm or smaller is allowed. Two piercings allowed per ear. Gauges must be plugged with clear or skin toned plugs and must not exceed ½ .
Other facial, mouth, or tongue piercings are not permitted
Visible tattoos are permitted with limitations based on dimension and location. Tattoos that do not fall within these guidelines must be covered by the uniform or with skin tone compatible tattoo makeup.
Bandages are not an approved form of tattoo coverage. Offensive tattoos must not be visible.
Must wear a company issued uniform and compliant face mask / covering as required
Flight Hours : After successfully completing phase one and two of Initial New Hire training, new hire flight attendants are guaranteed 76 flight hours as a reserve (whether you fly 1 flight hour or 76 flight hours, you are paid for 76 flight hours)
Pay :
- The beginning rate is $28.16 per flight hour Base compensation is 76 flight hours x $28.16 per flight hour $2,140.16 per month (Note : this does not include per diem*)
- Per Diem : In addition, you are paid $2.15 per diem for every hour you are on duty away from your domicile.

Job Description
Flight Attendants are the face of Mesa Airlines. As such, they must be reliable and punctual with devotion to providing excellent customer service at all times.
The position requires Flight Attendants to maintain a positive, approachable, and accommodating attitude while delivering extraordinary customer service.
A successful Flight Attendant must have in-depth knowledge of all safety procedures, service standards, and company policies and procedures.
Essential Functions
- Provide constant attention to our customers, providing them with a safe and reliable onboard experience
- Greet passengers, monitor carry-on baggage, and direct passengers to assigned seats
- Ability to remain positive, respectful, and understanding during challenging situations and passenger conflict
- Maintain physical health and professional appearance standards
- Maintain a thorough working knowledge of all emergency procedures and the ability to operate all emergency equipment onboard the aircraft
- Explain the use of safety equipment to passengers in a clear, concise manner
- Serve beverages, snacks, and meals where applicable
- Assist passengers in storing carry-on luggage in the overhead or under-seat storage
- Inform passengers of Federal Aviation Regulations
- Perform duties required to assist with inflight medical emergencies and special needs passengers, i.e., unaccompanied minors, visual or hearing impaired, language impaired, elderly, physically challenged, etc.
- Abide by policies outlined in the Code of Conduct, Employee Handbook, Flight Attendant Manual, and Code Share Partner standards

Compensation
Starting pay for Flight Attendants is $17.94 per flight hour, increasing to $19.45 after six months and $21.35 after 12 months, with annual increases after that.
Flight hours will be discussed during an information session if you are to move forward in the application process. The average earnings for a Flight Attendant in the first year of employment are approximately $22,000.
Other Compensation Opportunities :
Flight attendants have numerous ways to earn extra monthly income, including a crash-pad assistance program. Additionally, when Flight Attendants elect not to stay in company-provided hotel accommodations, Mesa Airlines will pay a portion of the hotel cost to the Flight Attendant.
A Flight Attendant can earn an additional $500 monthly ($6,000 annually) utilizing other compensation opportunities.

Responsibilities
The Flight Lead will :
- Support HSFTIC and the NASA International Space Station (ISS) Research Integration & Visiting Vehicle Offices.
- Coordinate research launch commit criteria, late load and scrub turnaround planning, and lessons learned with multiple stakeholders for cargo flights.
- Integrate research requirements with the Visiting Vehicle's cargo flight capabilities.
- Coordinate and communicate science constraints for crewed vehicle launch and return.
- Be responsible for interpretation and integration of investigation requirements and constraints.
- Author technical and engineering memos and presentations as required.
- Originate control documents, procedures, reports, or other documentation in support of flight related activities.

Essential Responsibilities :
- Provide client support with flight plans and flight planning issues.
- Onboard new clients.
- Converse with clients to determine destination, mode of transportation, travel dates, financial considerations, and accommodations required.
- Identify all issues and challenges, consult, and advise client, offer solutions and options for successful flight operations.
- Conduct research to identify information on trip requirements.
- Coordinate with vendors, ground agents and other departments to prepare trip arrangements such as hotel arrangements, flight plans, fuel, car rentals, weather, regulatory support and prepare itineraries.
- Request services, permits, and customs arrangements.
- Manage the transfer of information to and from clients, dispatchers, flight crew, and ground agents.
- Interpret aviation charts to determine route of flight requirements.
- Troubleshoot short notice problems for flight crew and provide options to remedy the issue.
- Ensure that trip needs are met within the constraints of the client's budget.
- Research, capture and maintain vetted data in operational databases.
- Support a culture of exceptional client experience and contribute to the client experience journey.
- Remain available to work 24 / 7 in a high operations tempo environment.
- Support the development of new products. Assist in defining requirements, design, and user acceptance testing.
- Stay informed of changes (world events) COVID / political situations (coups, etc.).
- Share knowledge with co-workers (train) on latest updates / requirements.
- Contact client during / after trip to obtain feedback and follow-up.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred
- Field of study in Client Services / Aviation preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Client Services; however, military service in the aviation field can serve as a substitute for any experience qualifications
- Experience in Airport / Aviation related preferred
- Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Dispatch License preferred
- Basic PC usage and knowledge
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, MS Project, etc.)
- Knowledge of industry standards and practices
- Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills, and ability to build relationships
