What Will You Be Doing?
The Frontier Airlines Flight Attendant (FA) is essential to maintaining the well-being, safety, security and comfort of our passengers onboard our aircraft.
The Flight Attendant performs a variety of services in order to maintain a high level of excellent customer service. Flight Attendants are involved in all passenger interactions in order to help answer any questions, address concerns and sell products onboard.
It is essential for all crew members to follow established FAA and Frontier guidelines in providing for the comfort and safety of passengers and respond to inflight emergencies and / or security concerns in the unlikely event they arise.
Essential Functions
- Follows all Federal Aviation Regulations as required as well as all established Frontier Airlines policies and procedures
- Initializes and conducts emergency evacuation of cabin if necessary
- Conducts preflight safety check of cabin emergency equipment
- Ensures proper loading and storage of carry-on luggage prior to and during the flight
- Ensures cabin safety and security during all phases of flight, including boarding and deplaning
- Prepares and secures doors and announces departure / arrival information to passengers over the PA system
- Provides instruction and demonstration of onboard safety features
- Sets up galley, checks supplies, stows beverage and snack carts and verifies count
- Sells snacks and / or beverages (including alcohol), collects and stows all beverage and snack service items inflight and prior to landing, and informs passengers of all onboard products
- Provides emergency medical assistance (e.g., performing CPR and basic first aid)
- Projects and maintains a positive attitude and composure at all times
- Performs tasks that require frequent walking, bending to ankle level, and reaching above shoulder level and reaching inside overhead bins to retrieve or store items
- Be dependable and committed to completing work assignments per Frontier Airlines policies
- Maintains professional appearance and compliance with uniform and appearance guidelines while in public view (e.g. during commute, pre-flight activities and flight operations)
- Participates and complies with all DOT, FAA, and Frontier Airlines’ regulations regarding drug and alcohol compliance of safety-sensitive transportation employees
- Other duties as required
Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED required
- MUST BE 20 years of age to begin the interview process.
- 1 to 2 years of customer service experience preferred
- Valid passport is required, the ability to travel in and out of the United States, and the ability to travel to all current and future international destinations served by Frontier Airlines is required
- Must present a neat professional appearance and demeanor including adhering to Frontier Inflight uniform and appearance guidelines, including no visible tattoos or multiple piercings.
Tattoos may not exist in the following areas : shoulders to fingertips, neck or chest area, behind the ears and for women mid-thigh to toes
- Must be willing to relocate to assigned base location
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours when needed
- Must be willing to travel for long stretches of time as part of the job
- Must be willing to change and adapt to meet the demands of the job, including accepting schedule changes on short notice

SECURITY ATTENDANT
Overview
Under general supervision, the purpose of the position is to provide for the security and environmental safekeeping of an assigned location of the school district.
Such locations include, but are not necessarily limited to, parking garages, parking lots, and school campuses. Employees in this classification are responsible for ensuring all persons entering and / or exiting assigned location are authorized on the premises.
Position addresses security violations in accordance with prescribed district policies and procedures, and is responsible for reporting illegal activities to appropriate administration or enforcement entities.
Essential functions as outlined herein are performed according to assigned district location. Performs related work as directed.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Responds to internal and external customers in a timely, accurate, courteous and empathetic manner representing OCPS in a positive light.
Unlocks assigned location and maintains security and environmental safekeeping of the assigned district location, i.e., school campuses, gateways, parking garages, parking lots.
Ensures students out of class have proper authorization; ensures students leaving campus are permitted to do so; reports unauthorized student departures.
Provides security for entrances and gateways by checking visitor and parent identification and authorization information;
provides direction and information as requested.
Patrols parking areas for the purpose of securing garages and lots, and to ensure all vehicles comply with parking / permitting policies and regulations.
Monitors assigned location for such environmental hazards or injurious activities, i.e., vandalism, theft, use and / or sale of illegal or controlled substances.
Maintains personal physical safety, and monitors interactions between students, staff, or other persons for proper physical behaviors.
Operates radio communication equipment in reporting and receiving information relating to duties under charge.
Secures and transports truant students or non-compliant trespassers to proper school administrators; reports to and requests assistance from enforcement personnel for those persons refusing compliance.
Assists students, staff, or other persons with vehicle problems, such as having locked keys inside their cars.
Assists in guiding school buses proper drop-off and pick-up formation; sets traffic control devices such as cones and signs as required;
maintains logs of bus arrival times.
Records various information in security and monitoring activities, i.e., recording names and arrival times, recording vehicle descriptions, preparing tardy slips, maintaining tardy lists.
Responsible for keeping up to date on current technology, as job appropriate, being used by OCPS. With the support of the district, attends training to ensure skill level in various technologies is at the level required to perform in current position.
Responsible for timely and accurate information they maintain as part of their job responsibilities.

PERFORMANCE APTITUDES

ADA COMPLIANCE
Physical Ability : Tasks involve the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and / or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (5-10 pounds).
Tasks may involve extended periods walking or at an assigned work station.
Sensory Requirements : Most tasks require visual perception and discrimination. Some tasks require oral communications ability.
Environmental Factors : Tasks are regularly performed with some risk of exposure to adverse environmental conditions, such as dust, humidity, rain, temperature extremes, traffic hazards, and violence.
