Program Summary
Have you ever dreamed of being a commercial airline pilot? Frontier Airlines Pilot Cadet Program will help to get you there and make you a successful commercial pilot in as little as two years with a direct pathway into a First Officer role at Frontier Airlines, home of Low Fares Done Right.
Successful applicants will be able to complete flight training at over 70 ATP Flight School locations nationwide, making it easy to find the location that works for you and your family.
No prior flying experience is required and cadets will receive assistance in applying for financial aid to help offset training and living expenses, while receiving select Frontier travel benefits during the program.
Preference is given to Frontier employees, our business partner employees and relatives of employees of Frontier. For candidates who are not already Frontier employees, employment with Frontier will start upon successful completion of training.

Frontier Airlines Cadet Program Qualifications
- Vision corrected to 20 / 20
- Valid passport, without restriction, to travel in and out of the U.S.
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability and willingness to work a variety of schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability and desire to maintain a well-groomed and professional appearance
- Ability to communicate in English
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug testing and background checks
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum age of 19
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Pilot Cadet Program Application Process
All applications will be reviewed by a member of our pilot recruitment team. Candidates that meet our minimum qualifications may be invited to complete a series of interviews and assessments.
Flight training will be conducted at one of 71 ATP flight training schools around the country. Once the necessary licenses are successfully acquired, candidates will be able to start accumulating the flight time required for an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.
Participants who successfully complete the cadet program will have a direct pathway into a Frontier Airlines First Officer position.
First Officer Job Summary (post-Cadet)
Upon successful completion of flight training and obtaining the necessary licensing, cadets will begin employment by training as a Frontier Airlines First Officer and will be responsible for meeting the minimum qualifications for a Frontier First Officer in place at the time of program completion.
The First Officer is responsible for delivering great customer service, while ensuring safe and timely flight operations in accordance with all Company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations.
The duties of the First Officer include, but are not limited to :
- Ensures the safe and timely completion of flight operations in accordance with all Company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR).
- Responsible for the operation of the aircraft during the designated period of duty unless relieved by Company authority.
This involves weekend, holiday and night operations.
- Through completion of appropriate pre and post-flight inspection, ensures the airworthy condition of assigned aircraft.
- Becomes familiar with existing and forecast departure, arrival, and if applicable, alternate station weather prior to each flight.
- Ensures that the flight is planned and fueled properly so that it may be conducted safely.
- Assists with and ensures proper handling of aircraft, passenger, baggage, and cargo at terminal points and keeps an awareness of an on-time departure.
- Notifies crew and passengers promptly of turbulence, adverse weather conditions or any other operational factors affecting the flight.
- Ensures that the load manifest for a flight is reviewed and the passenger count is verified prior to each departure.
First Officer Requirements / Qualifications (upon completion of Flight Training)
- 1,500 hours total flight time
- Current FAA Class 1 Medical Certificate
- ATP Certificate
- FCC Restricted Radio Operator's Permit
- Valid US Passport, with machine readable print, and the ability to travel in and out of the United States or valid foreign passport with authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Ability to travel in and out of all the cities / countries served by Frontier Airlines
- Ability to relocate
- Ability and willingness to work weekends, nights, holidays and overnight trips, including "red eyes."
- Ability and desire to maintain a well-groomed and professional appearance
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug testing and background checks
- Experience with sophisticated aircraft equipment including Electronic Flight Instrument Systems (EFIS) and Flight Management Systems (FMS) preferred

What Will You Be Doing?
The Frontier Airlines Flight Attendant (FA) is essential to maintaining the well-being, safety, security and comfort of our passengers onboard our aircraft.
The Flight Attendant performs a variety of services in order to maintain a high level of excellent customer service. Flight Attendants are involved in all passenger interactions in order to help answer any questions, address concerns and sell products onboard.
It is essential for all crew members to follow established FAA and Frontier guidelines in providing for the comfort and safety of passengers and respond to inflight emergencies and / or security concerns in the unlikely event they arise.
Essential Functions
- Follows all Federal Aviation Regulations as required as well as all established Frontier Airlines policies and procedures
- Initializes and conducts emergency evacuation of cabin if necessary
- Conducts preflight safety check of cabin emergency equipment
- Ensures proper loading and storage of carry-on luggage prior to and during the flight
- Ensures cabin safety and security during all phases of flight, including boarding and deplaning
- Prepares and secures doors and announces departure / arrival information to passengers over the PA system
- Provides instruction and demonstration of onboard safety features
- Sets up galley, checks supplies, stows beverage and snack carts and verifies count
- Sells snacks and / or beverages (including alcohol), collects and stows all beverage and snack service items inflight and prior to landing, and informs passengers of all onboard products
- Provides emergency medical assistance (e.g., performing CPR and basic first aid)
- Projects and maintains a positive attitude and composure at all times
- Performs tasks that require frequent walking, bending to ankle level, and reaching above shoulder level and reaching inside overhead bins to retrieve or store items
- Be dependable and committed to completing work assignments per Frontier Airlines policies
- Maintains professional appearance and compliance with uniform and appearance guidelines while in public view (e.g. during commute, pre-flight activities and flight operations)
- Participates and complies with all DOT, FAA, and Frontier Airlines’ regulations regarding drug and alcohol compliance of safety-sensitive transportation employees
- Other duties as required
Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED required
- MUST BE 20 years of age to begin the interview process.
- 1 to 2 years of customer service experience preferred
- Valid passport is required, the ability to travel in and out of the United States, and the ability to travel to all current and future international destinations served by Frontier Airlines is required
- Must present a neat professional appearance and demeanor including adhering to Frontier Inflight uniform and appearance guidelines, including no visible tattoos or multiple piercings.
Tattoos may not exist in the following areas : shoulders to fingertips, neck or chest area, behind the ears and for women mid-thigh to toes
- Must be willing to relocate to assigned base location
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours when needed

What Will You Be Doing?
The Flight Operations Recruiter offers full-cycle strategic recruitment and staffing support to Frontier Airlines' flight operations organization.
The Recruiter will work collaboratively to recruit pilots and all flight operations positions.
Essential Functions :
- Support and execute pilot staffing strategies in a competitive hiring environment
- Plan, coordinate and participate in pilot recruitment events in conjunction with flight operations recruitment team
- Manage staffing goals and dashboard metrics
- Provide collaborative and consultative guidance to flight operations department staff and leadership
- Collaborate with the corporate staffing unit in the areas of developing sources of qualified applicants, conducting screening process, assisting line management in development of interview processes, tracking of
- Lead the generation of pipeline and pilot candidate flow for open positions through candidate searches on networking sites, search engines, social networks and other sources
- Travel in- and out-of-state as required to support the company’s staffing needs for pilots
- Developing pilot candidate pools for on-going recruitment efforts

Qualifications :
- Minimum 3 years of high-volume recruiting experience
- Bachelors' Degree in Human Resources or related field; combination of education and relevant human resources experience considered in lieu of degree

What Will You Be Doing?
The Frontier Airlines Flight Attendant (FA) is essential to maintaining the well-being, safety, security and comfort of our passengers onboard our aircraft.
The Flight Attendant performs a variety of services in order to maintain a high level of excellent customer service. Flight Attendants are involved in all passenger interactions in order to help answer any questions, address concerns and sell products onboard.
It is essential for all crew members to follow established FAA and Frontier guidelines in providing for the comfort and safety of passengers and respond to inflight emergencies and / or security concerns in the unlikely event they arise.
Essential Functions
- Follows all Federal Aviation Regulations as required as well as all established Frontier Airlines policies and procedures
- Initializes and conducts emergency evacuation of cabin if necessary
- Conducts preflight safety check of cabin emergency equipment
- Ensures proper loading and storage of carry-on luggage prior to and during the flight
- Ensures cabin safety and security during all phases of flight, including boarding and deplaning
- Prepares and secures doors and announces departure / arrival information to passengers over the PA system
- Provides instruction and demonstration of onboard safety features
- Sets up galley, checks supplies, stows beverage and snack carts and verifies count
- Sells snacks and / or beverages (including alcohol), collects and stows all beverage and snack service items inflight and prior to landing, and informs passengers of all onboard products
- Provides emergency medical assistance (e.g., performing CPR and basic first aid)
- Projects and maintains a positive attitude and composure at all times
- Performs tasks that require frequent walking, bending to ankle level, and reaching above shoulder level and reaching inside overhead bins to retrieve or store items
- Be dependable and committed to completing work assignments per Frontier Airlines policies
- Maintains professional appearance and compliance with uniform and appearance guidelines while in public view (e.g. during commute, pre-flight activities and flight operations)
- Participates and complies with all DOT, FAA, and Frontier Airlines’ regulations regarding drug and alcohol compliance of safety-sensitive transportation employees
- Other duties as required
Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED required
- MUST BE 20 years of age to begin the interview process.
- 1 to 2 years of customer service experience preferred
- Valid passport is required, the ability to travel in and out of the United States, and the ability to travel to all current and future international destinations served by Frontier Airlines is required
- Must present a neat professional appearance and demeanor including adhering to Frontier Inflight uniform and appearance guidelines, including no visible tattoos or multiple piercings.
Tattoos may not exist in the following areas : shoulders to fingertips, neck or chest area, behind the ears and for women mid-thigh to toes
- Must be willing to relocate to assigned base location
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours when needed
- Must be willing to travel for long stretches of time as part of the job
- Must be willing to change and adapt to meet the demands of the job, including accepting schedule changes on short notice
- Must be willing to fly both international and domestic routes
