Flamingo Adventures, located within The Everglades National Park, is now hiring a Property Attendant.

We operate 2 large campgrounds, Eco Tents, and a full-service Marina. We have a new Lodge and Restaurant to opening soon that will add even more jobs in Food & Beverage and Lodging.

We have RV sites with full hookups for $20 per week and dorm style housing for $40 per week. Sorry, space is very limited.

You must work here and be available for full-time hours to live on property.

JOB SUMMARY

Be the pride of Flamingo! The Property Attendant is responsible for the cleanliness and attractiveness of all public areas within the unit (employee housing, marina, eco-tents, houseboats, and campgrounds).

In addition, the Property Attendant will serve as an ambassador for all the great offerings of the area to the guests they will frequently encounter over the course of their duties, all the while maintaining a friendly and positive attitude.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Ensure assigned areas are clean and neat as directed by management.
  • Continually clean ash urns.
  • Clean bathhouses and restrooms, and picnic areas in assigned areas.
  • Address, clean, and empty trash receptacles, picnic tables, and debris throughout the unit.
  • Maintain pristine common areas in employee housing.
  • Prepare and clean individual employee housing units, as needed.
  • Assist with the housekeeping of houseboats and eco-tents.
  • Other duties as assigned.

SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE

  • Partial High School education; High School Diploma / equivalent preferred.
  • Strong customer service abilities : actively looks for ways to assist customers and coworkers.
  • People oriented, strong communication / public speaking skills.
  • Strong work ethic and team-oriented skills are a must.
  • Must adhere to company appearance and uniform standards.
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Strong sanitation habits and attention to detail.
  • Ability to stay on task independently without constant direction and supervision.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the unit. Bend, lift up to 50lbs, carry, reach / extend arms and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment.
  • Operating company vehicles, including golf carts and gators, to travel throughout the property.
  • Reading and writing work-related documents in English.
  • Speech recognition and clarity, including the ability to understand the speech of customers and co-workers and the ability to speak clearly so that you can be understood by customers and co-workers in English.
  • Physical presence at the job site is essential to perform job duties.

JOB SUMMARY

The Club Attendant will drive member satisfaction by providing exceptional customer service through performing a variety of maintenance and cleaning tasks to keep the facility in a healthy, clean and orderly standard.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES Estimated % of Time Spent

Cleans and dusts walls, mirrors, countertops, glass, and windows

Sweeps, mops, scrubs, and vacuums floor of all areas of club, including locker rooms, weight area, cardio, office space, hallways, stairs, etc.

Cleans and dusts all weight and cardio equipment

Restocks supplies

Empties clubs' garbage and recycling containers

Completes daily and weekly scope of work as assigned

Performs special cleaning projects as assigned

Cleans and maintains wet areas of the club, if applicable (cleaning pool deck, vacuuming pool, cleaning steam room and sauna and conducting regular pool chemical testing).

Not all clubs have wet areas

Performs minor cosmetic repair on equipment (rust removal, touch up paint, re-labeling, etc.)

Partners with Facility Technician to perform cleaning duties on equipment as outlined in preventative maintenance guide

Performs minor painting as approved / directed by General Manager and Facilities Technician

Use all janitorial supplies in accordance to product labels and club manuals

Report all newly identified facility maintenance issues via Service Channel

Report any member complaints to the General Manager
