The Syndicated Finance Group is housed within the Capital Markets Group of the Commercial Bank and is responsible for working on complex financial situations involving syndicated and leveraged transactions for Commercial Bank clients.

The team works with bankers, risk partners, clients, and prospects to provide insights into debt capital markets and is responsible for managing all aspects of the syndication process.

As a Syndicated Finance Managing Director you will be responsible for various aspects of the marketing, structuring, pricing, negotiating, and distribution of syndicated loans.

In addition, you will work closely with the leadership teams to drive the strategy for increasing syndicated loan market share.

Take a lead role in the writing of distribution risk analysis memos with a focus on underwriting / market risks and devising suitable distribution strategies.

As the senior figure in the Syndications department ensure we are observing best market practices including structuring techniques and managing all inherent risks appropriately.

Management of taking and placing market risk, either on hard underwritten or best-efforts basis to minimize held for sale positions and devising suitable distribution strategies.

Providing Syndicated loan Market commentary for circulation to Senior Management, CIB colleagues and clients.

Loan Trading, Sales, and Distribution ( LTSD ) provides critical market intelligence, loan underwriting and distribution skills in support of commercial banking businesses.

LTSD works closely with Debt Capital Markets and Corporate Finance to provide optimal financing solutions for Huntington’s clients and delivering growth to commercial banking’s loan product revenues.

The purpose of the role is to develop and maintain strategic relationships with banks & financial institutions in order to understand each party’s credit appetite, pricing hurdles and client focus on the loan markets.

Such relationships ensure Huntington is best positioned to capture Lead Arranger / Bookrunner roles (whether on an underwritten or best-efforts basis), identify external syndication deals led by other banks where Huntington can also participate and source attractive secondary loan sale or purchase opportunities.

Key Responsibilities :

Subject matter expert on market activity and pricing.

Maintain active relationships for loan distribution and secondary trading.

Partner with coverage teams to identify new opportunities.

Work with credit to manage balance sheet exposures.

Qualifications :

Ability to work as a team player interacting with a variety of deal members within a financial firm.
