As a Controller, you will work with an experienced CFO to help Thrivable implement and maintain robust financial, regulatory, and compliance systems.

As Controller, you will :

The Finance Director for Supply Chain is a highly visible, senior-facing role that provides companywide support from a central position.

This role will report to the VP of Finance for Group Operations and serve as a dotted line business partner to the SVP of Supply Chain.

This is a particularly exciting opportunity because this position will be entrusted to creatively stand up next level reporting and analytics for our global supply chain operations.

A successful candidate must be adept at basic monthly financial management, multiyear strategic planning, and creating / maintaining insightful operational metrics.

Areas of focus will include leading a team of three in accurate accounting processes, budgeting / forecasting, opportunity analyses, and helping drive scale and efficiency to all elements of our global supply chain.

This is a true finance partnership role, and the selected individual must become a respected and trusted voice at the table with many senior leaders in both Group Operations and Finance.

What you will do here :

Finance Partnership :

  • Lead a team of three accountants / analysts to collectively run an accurate and analytical finance function
  • Pair closely with the SVP of Supply Chain and his direct reports, becoming a responsive, reliable, and trusted partner for strategic evaluations
  • Proactively align with finance leaders in other business units to share supply chain costs, create / distribute reporting, and serve as a point of expertise for their questions
  • Partner with BU finance leaders to obtain plans for print sales and package / disseminate for supply chain planning
  • Earn the trust of your partners through superior integrity, effort, and performance quality
  • Raise concerns as necessary, but also creatively work to solution
  • Stay closely connected to partners and identify financial impacts of evolving operational plans

Monthly Financial Management :

  • Maintain a regimented month end accounting process with disciplined accruals, reclasses, journal entries, and reporting
  • Prepare journal entries and accruals so that monthly financials accurately depict performance
  • Institute a system of checks and balances so that errors can quickly be self-diagnosed in the same period
  • Following close, evaluate performance and identify drivers of budget / forecast variances
  • Complete all corporate reporting requests in a timely fashion with thoughtful and useful commentary
  • Create and distribute monthly reporting on financial measures, operational measures, and insights garnered from the relationship between each
  • Find opportunities for continuous improvement, and carve efficiencies into your processes

Strategic Planning :

  • Maintain rolling multiyear financial forecasts and hold a constant understanding of financial health, risks, opportunities, and levers
  • Prepare realistic budgets and forecasts, and thoughtfully convey the story behind the numbers
  • Use a bottoms up approach to planning while shepherding business partners to spend profiles in line with financial targets
  • Insightfully prepare bridges that distill noise into key drivers
  • Prepare and present documents that honestly and impactfully support the objectives of your business partners
  • Create next level metrics for unit cost tracking / reporting to provide deeper insights into our production / distribution costs
  • Create opportunity analyses that comprehensively include impacts of all known elements and creatively account for unknown elements

Responsibilities

Finance Manager :

  • Present finance, insurance, and other product options to customers with a proper menu presentation 100% of the time
