Qualifications :

  • Ability to travel up to 40% and work with remote teams

Position Summary

Serve as a critical member of the Project Team with responsibilities to develop and implement project controls systems. This team member will manage resources and responsibilities to deliver project forecasts and reports, financial management, change management, and ensure monitoring of all project finances and controls of the assigned project.

This role will be key in assessing and identifying financial risks and assumptions, timely elevating to the appropriate stakeholders.

Core Functions

Identify and ensure execution of all action needed by the controls / finance team (self-execution or distributing to Project Finance Analyst or Project Accountant).

Participate in all decision & status update meetings to understand the progress and risks of the project.

Ensure complete and comprehensive project tracking disciplines are in place to provide regular reporting of project spend, commitments, forecast modeling, and total project cost.

Prepare financially related reporting tools and present all project financial information in the regular Steering Committee Meetings.

Ensure timely and accurate communication of all financial related impacts of the project.

Manages current project budget with input from project team, keeping project leaders and Steering Committee abreast of budget impacts.

Develop and implement project disciplines and communications to track and report change orders and resulting spend projections.

Provide guidance to the Project Team on Bunge Policy and Procedures. Understand and drive project controls based on those, ensuring required control environment is present and adhered by the team.

Ensure strong controls processes are present for on-site assets (i.e., for goods reception, equipment and spare parts storage and their inventory count, etc.)

Lead in the identification and reporting of control deficiencies and anomalies; development and implement improved processes and controls to correct same.

Complete and maintain comprehensive project forecasting future spend by period. Leverage project team, FP&A, and vendors for a comprehensive and accurate forecast of the project cost.

Openly and proactively communicate as the contact point for financially related inquiries from business units (FP&A, Accounting / Controllers, Tax, Procurement, Industrial Management, etc.)

Skills / Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Construction Management, or Engineering required

Direct experience leading capital project controls in excess of $200 million

10+ years of progressive experience in project controls, project management, or financial management

Self-Perform / Owner-Managed experience

Advance knowledge of project control principals / practice

Experience leading successful teams, including development of employees, and maintaining relationships with external parties.
