Job Duties and Responsibilities

The Replenishment Planner position falls within the DISH Retail Wireless division. This role will be actively engaged in multi-channel replenishment and allocation responsibilities.

These responsibilities include shipment planning, order management, reporting, and process development. The Replenishment Planner will work closely with demand planning, supply planning, account teams, and operations to support device demand for various channels, including indirect, Wal-Mart, Best Buy, and Target.

Day-to-day job responsibilities :

  • Work cross-functionally to generate an accurate shipment plan to support various channels.
  • PO tracking and management to ensure timely processing and delivery.
  • Proactively communicate supply inconsistencies directly with national retailers to maintain in-stocks percentages and accurate shipment plans.
  • Manage inventory lifecycle in dealer channel, by working directly with the planning team and communicating all device additions and removals from the DDP ordering tool.
  • Foster a challenging and equitable work environment, which encourages commitment, skill development, professional growth, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide weekly reporting of allocations, shipments, supply plans, and in-stock percentages across multiple channels.

Skills, Experience and Requirements

A successful Replenishment Planner will have :

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and 4+ years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, the ability to multi-task, advanced Excel skills, and strong initiative
  • Effective communication skills with all levels of the organization

Specific qualifications :

  • Experience in retail wireless, replenishment planning, or supply planning

The primary role of the demand planner is to develop a demand forecast. This position is a key driver in managing the customer and consumer demand signals to align commercial and supply chain activity.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities :

  • Work with commercial teams to develop and manage depletion forecasts for the prescribed future horizon
  • Maintain forecasts and all demand planning data, and provide end user training to commercial teams where applicable
  • Lead monthly Demand Planning reviews, using all appropriate tools and data with Commercial and Supply Planning, to ensure the forecast is realistic and deliverable
  • Coordinate the execution of the forecast plan with Commercial and Customer Services teams, effectively managing any exceptions due to limited supply
  • Communicate ongoing forecast changes to stakeholders in the Commercial, Supply Chain and Finance organizations, and, where appropriate, Suppliers’ teams
  • Identify and report significant promotional activity; ensuring events and exceptions are reviewed with Commercial, Supply Planning and Customer Services in a timely fashion
  • Review and publish forecast accuracy reporting, and identify areas for improvement
  • Facilitate training and improvement plans for business users
  • Manage the system generated exception reports, to ensure the most up-to-date demand is visible to all stakeholders
  • Manage the execution of specific allocations; ensuring these are aligned to Commercial and Finance guidelines
  • Participate in the monthly Sales and Operations Planning process by leading the Demand Review and reporting on key metrics and insights

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Mathematics, or Finance or related field desirable
  • Formal training in statistical models and their application is preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in purchasing, logistics, or similar position
  • Analytical experience required with knowledge or experience in modeling and / or simulation preferred
  • Proficient PC skills using MS Office and other various computer programs including presentation software
  • Must be a results-oriented professional with verbal / written communication skills using diplomacy and discretion as well as customer service skills
