Entry Level Accountant
Entry Level Accountant
This position is ideal for a recent accounting graduate looking to kick-start their career in the accounting field. As an Entry-Level Staff Accountant, you will work closely with our accounting team to support various financial and bookkeeping activities.
This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop a strong foundation in accounting.
Duties of the Entry Level Accountant
- Prepare bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in maintaining accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
- Assist in preparing financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare journal entries and perform reconciliations.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to achieve department goals and objectives.
Requirements of the Entry Level Accountant
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in data entry and analysis.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
