Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Perform a variety of semi-skilled and skilled electrical / electronic equipment installation and repair / replacement of plant equipment
  • Obtain and deliver parts as needed
  • Serve as fire watch during hot work
  • Secure construction equipment and other needed tools for projects
  • Assist with construction projects
  • General housekeeping and painting
  • Assist the skilled tradesmen
  • Understand metric and standard measuring systems
  • Safely operate forklifts / manlifts
  • Understand technical service manuals and drawings
  • Able to locate and utilize lockout points for all machinery
  • Job includes exposure to physical hazards associated with the maintenance and operation of major production and plant service equipment and exposure to the raw materials and service-related chemicals
  • The job involves exposure to high-noise areas requiring the use of personal protection and exposure to potential lost time accidents due to crushing or cutting of various body parts and burns or splashes associated with exposure to hot equipment and lubricating fluids and other materials used throughout the plant

Job Requirements :

  • Manufacturing background preferred, but not required
  • Possess basic mechanical aptitude
  • Use basic hand and power tools
  • Understand metric and standard measuring systems
  • Utilize a VOM and Megger
  • Use basic hand and power tools
  • Understand technical service manuals and drawings
  • Able to locate and utilize lockout points for all machinery
  • Operate Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PP, DataStream, MP7i)
  • Read plant PID prints
  • Possess basic understanding of MSDS
  • Can perform basic reading, writing, arithmetic, and computer functions
  • Able to communicate and cooperate with other associates
  • Must possess sufficient motor skills to operate and utilize a forklift
  • Knowledge of the U.S.D.A.-approved Net Weight Program is preferred.
  • Follow all safety procedures
  • Must have overall knowledge of recipes and finish product specifications
  • Must have the ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems
  • Willing to work in a well-lit and ventilated office, freezer, and cooler environments for short periods of time, and refrigerated production environment for extended periods as necessary.

Moderate noise level. Temperature range of 0-75 degrees Fahrenheit.

SCOPE OF WORK :

Performs installations, alterations, additions, and / or repairs of electrical systems, conductors, and associated materials and equipment within the residential, commercial, and industrial electrical industry.
